Richards is all over the place. He's gone for 21 in his three overs but another two balls have been given as four byes each when he was lucky to get away with them not being given as 10 wides in total

    79-3 (21)
I honestly didn't understand why he was asked to bowl so any overs in the last session !

He didn't look like getting a wicket & the runs had started to build  but still he was kept on.

Thought Joey could have had more overs & that Parky could have entered the fray earlier than he did.

But hey, what do I know about cricket ?

It was good to see Joe Denly acting as the drinks' carrier and warming up with the players, turning his arm over etc. Hope he'll soon be back in the squad.

More bad news - Jas is out for the season as a result of the injury sustained to his ankle.

    Hopefully a fair bit ...

... because next game you're batting at four and first-change bowler due to the ever-growing injury list!

EDIT: Oh, and bring your tap shoes because you'll be leading the rain dance most sessions! 😉

Gutted for the player, but the Kent injury carnage is getting ridiculous. We seem to need twice as many bowlers as everyone else, to cope with the season ending injuries.

Presumably as a stepping stone to getting him match fit for Kent, Mikey Cohen is playing for Canterbury today in a friendly against Whitstable.

As I said yesterday morning, with the weather as it was, we were always likely to get the better of the overhead conditions. To be anything like a hundred runs behind in those circumstances is criminal.

Worth having a look at the Somerset pitch if you get the chance. Basically indistinguishable from the outfield

Shame Jas is out for the season. He seems to pick up injuries at inopportune times unfortunately. Last season, if I remember rightly, he got in the side and then picked up an injury.

How many realistically would we need to get to then for it to be competitive? 250?

Maybe 350 given that there are 2 days and the best part of a session left.
