Yeah - Breda Wool is great in those too. Also, I'm not sure if you're at this point yet, but there's a scene with Kelly Lynch (Brady's mum) that is absolutely unreal.McBobbin said:
Glad it picks up after second series, not onto that yet but a couple of mates watching are saying the same. Will stick with it. Yes Harry Treadaway is superb... Love the scenes in the electronics shop in particularLeroy Ambrose said:
First season is immense. Second goes off the rails, third is good again. Gleeson is incredible, as always - but Harry Treadaway steals the showMcBobbin said:New to me, but just started "Mr Mercedes" very good so far2 -
There was an excellent line in Amandaland tonight from Joanna Lumley…
”I had to go to something called a Londis”.Really made me laugh as so well timed and delivered 😆0 -
Maybe funnier in context because i have literally no idea what that is 😁valleynick66 said:There was an excellent line in Amandaland tonight from Joanna Lumley…

Amandaland was class, Ann getting the South African boyfriends name wrong and the consequence of that got me every timevalleynick66 said:There was an excellent line in Amandaland tonight from Joanna Lumley…

I have no idea how to spell his surname but I always like that actor especially when he is doing accents and he was on top of his game when he showed up2 -
There’s an average comedy vehicle for Melissa McCartyy called Spy which I saw on a plane once and Peter Serafinowicz definitely brings his A-game to the accents for his role in that. Best bit of the film from memory.Carter said:

I thought Spy was loads of fun and you are correct his Benito Spaghetti Italian was hilarious. Jason Staham is also really funny in it tooFumbluff said:

"I fucking made it, didn't I?"
I thought it was a great comedy - much better than most I've seen on the past few years1 -
I saw "No hard feelings" the other night - thought it was lovely. Funny, touching and Jennifer Lawrence is as likeable as ever. Show stolen by the nerdy kid in it - his rendition of Maneater on the piano is superb. Solid 8/101

The camerawork is amazing. They filmed each episode multiple times in a single take and used the best version.SuedeAdidas said:

3 episodes in to Adolescence. Very good TV. Had to Google whether Shane Meadows was involved as the tone and casting felt very much like it was one of his.0

Finished watching it this evening - a very difficult watch given the subject matter. A remarkable piece of television.Clem_Snide said:3 episodes in to Adolescence. Very good TV. Had to Google whether Shane Meadows was involved as the tone and casting felt very much like it was one of his.1 -

The 3rd episode might the most compelling bit of TV I have ever watched.
Hard to believe it's the acting debut of the boy who played Jamie!4 -

I think it might be the best television this country has ever produced.Clem_Snide said:

I could probably watch a drama of Stephen Graham watching paint dry so seeing a new drama called Adolescent with him appear on Netflix has become my next watch.
Seen the first episode and as predicted it's sensational. Incredible detail and pacing.1 -
Last episode for us later on.
Unbelievable the way they’ve filmed it and amazing acting by all.0 -
Think some of the accolades for Adolescence are a little bit over the top. I'm only two in. Thought the first episode was breathtaking. But the second at the school dragged on a fair bit. Still good. But the best TV ever? Not for me.5
-
Binged adolescence over the weekend. As a father of boys aged 14 and 12 it hit home very hard. Everything about it was superb, but feel they could have made more of it and explored some themes further. Excellent writing and the acting was unreal. That said, it’s great to see a piece of tv that is short, sharp and done without flab.0

I've now seen them all and it was a great series, especially the first episode. Best ever is very wide of the mark.carly burn said:Think some of the accolades for Adolescence are a little bit over the top. I'm only two in. Thought the first episode was breathtaking. Finished Adolescence last night. That first episode really is amazing television. Stephen Graham is such a brilliant, brilliant actor but thought everyone in it was very good.0
-
Yep. Binge watched Adolescence last night. Gripping stuff. Graham has been in the gym! Shout out for the kid. Great performance.0
