Diana is staying in the Radisson Blu near the Liverpool echo offices, last time I stayed there i watched one of my mates on that very atrium emerge from his room with the most obvious prostitute the world has ever seen.
We collared him about it at breakfast and he was more angry we'd ordered a copy of the sun to be delivered to his door

I’m surprised the hotel was able to get a copy for him at all! 😉Carter said:Diana is staying in the Radisson Blu near the Liverpool echo offices, last time I stayed there i watched one of my mates on that very atrium emerge from his room with the most obvious prostitute the world has ever seen.

Finished watching Protection last night, well worth a watch.0

Just watched the first couple of episodes - really good watch so far.Chaz Hill said:
Watched the whole series of ‘This City is Ours’ now and really enjoyed it. I see Sean Bean reckons it was one of the best things he has ever worked on. The Jamie character looked the spit of a young Wayne Rooney which was a bit weirdChaz Hill said:
Only watched first episode so far. Spent most of the time location spotting as it was filmed around where I live. Loads of filming takes place from here in South Liverpool. The cricket club car park seems to be an almost permanent base for mobile film crew equipment and studios. Parts of the series Protection was also filmed close by at the house (where lead characters father lived) belonging to friends of ours.bolloxbolder said:
Finished it yesterday. Excellent, well worth a watch.LargeAddick said:Surprised no one has mentioned ‘This City Is Ours’ yet. Four episodes in and pretty enjoyable so far although the scouse accents are grating.
. Plenty of scope for a second series.2 -
Thought it was okay. Siobhan Finneran was miscast in the main role - not very convincing.HastingsRed said:Finished watching Protection last night, well worth a watch.2 -

This city is ours was class, start to finish.
The amount of times they could have put jump scare moments in but didn't, then did. Really good writing, acting and filming
I did enjoy catching the slight dips when Soarsie Monica Jackson and the girl who aged Melissa slipped from scouse into Irish but both of them were really good.

Siobhan Finneran showed why she should always be cast as the sister of the main character.
Couldn't carry the role off very well.0 -

Watching Berlin on apple tv, very good hospital drama, fortunately, nothing like casualty.0

I felt the same way. However, don’t bother with the Irish or Canadian versions. They were awful.Gravesend_Addick said:Thought Last One Laughing was one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in recent times.
A really simple concept & easy to watch. Had me in stitches at times.

Loved it. Absolute class television. The only thing I thought was out was what the main character did to Sean Bean. But it drove the show so was necessary.Carter said:This city is ours was class, start to finish.

What are peoples thoughts on The Penguin? I've made it to episode two or three, but what a drag. Each episode feels like a feature with no arc.
Colin Farrell as the lead does a great job, I wouldn't have known it was him were his name not plasted across the screen.
Shall i bother with the rest or does it remain dull?0 -
I watched it to the end. It's fine and Farrell is great but it's nothing special. Plenty of better optionsPopIcon said:What are peoples thoughts on The Penguin? I've made it to episode two or three, but what a drag. Each episode feels like a feature with no arc.

Kinahan: The true story of Ireland's mafia.
3 partner on iPlayer and a good watch.
For those that watch Kin, the Kinsella family is supposedly based on the Kinahans.1 -

Clem_Snide said:Sky have started showing the trailers for the new series of The Last of Us. No exact date for release just says April 2025 at the moment.
Obviously the second part of the game got very dark and am wondering whether the series will follow the same path.......
Premieres Sunday 13th April at 9pm (US Eastern time) so 2am UK time on the 14th.0 -

Does it need one? I know producers like to dangle that carrot but I feel this could have been a great stand alone series without need for endless sequels finishing limply when viewers lose interest or the writers run out of ideasChaz Hill said:

Bit of a different option but I've been watching the Chess show that comes on between Mastermind and University Challenege on Monday on BBC1, I think its called 'Chess Masters: Endgame' and I'm actually quite enjoying it. The format is a bit lame but the mixture of chess games/challenges they do are quite interesting - though I find Sue Perkins desperately annoying.0

Not a series, but I thought Simon Schama's Road to Auschwitz on BBC2 last night was quite moving. I wasn't aware that the holocaust had origins in Lithuania1

watched the first 2 episodes, excellent stuff so farClem_Snide said:Watched the first episode of Mobland on Paramount+. Directed by Guy Ritchie and written by Jez Butterworth. Stars Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnon. Pretty good start.2 -
1923
After a relatively slow build up the final episode really caught fire, 1883 was brutal and this wasn't much less so. The ending was beautifully done Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren stealing every scene they were in.
Hopefully there is more stuff in this universe as its such good tv0 -
Yes, I really like it. 2nd episode was even better. Nice to watch something that Guy Ritchie has his name on which isn't just ludicrously over the top "gangster humour". The cast is excellent. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are a great couple and I am not usually a big fan of Tom Hardy but he is excellent in this.Elthamaddick said:

Was driving me nuts who the actor playing Eddie (the lunatic grandson) had previously played and it came to me this AM - he was Johnny Rotten in the Disney+ Series about the Sex Pistols.1 -
I'm currently watching 1883 and it's amazing (although i though American Primeval had more violence!). So i dont cock up the order of watching, is it 1883, then Yellowstone, then 1923? or is Yellowstone not linked?Carter said:1923

Yellowstone is last...it is set in 'present day'....1 -
So having not started these the order should be 1883, 1923, Yellowstone ?2
