Anyone watch the new Race Around The World? I'm loving the brothers already. The route looks brilliant too.
Dunno why but the brothers grated on me. The mother and son are annoying and the once married but now just friends couple are weird. The young couple from Wales and the sisters are my favourites.
Watched last night’s episode of Ambulance, my god it was a hard watch. The crews are so professional and dealt with people in whatever situations with the upmost respect.
The last story with the asylum seeker living in a car park and going to university but not having even spoken to anyone for ages, and wanting to be able to have a bath or shower, brought a tear to my eye. So glad that some kind stranger had seen he had something to offer society and given him a leg up as it were.

Amazing people, what they do every working day is incredible. It was a hard watch and shows just how much we should be valuing the work they do.

What's it about?
It follows Ambulance calls out in London. This week it mainly concentrated on calls to help people with mental health problems.

I know it’s terrible, but I find these sorts of shows too difficult to watch.
Enjoyed the latest episode of Mobland. It's building up nicely. Helen Mirren looks like she is loving playing the matriarch. But by christ do I want someone to kill Eddie!

We always watch them. Does seem to be similar teams each series though. The old mates don't seem to give a toss about the race and i expect the sisters who speak Mandarin will win it.
Talking of BBC, anyone seen Louis Theroux's documentary on settlers? Incredible must see. Probably his finest work.
Seen first couple of episodes of series 7 of Black Mirror, Bête Noir and Hotel Reverie. Ok but hoping it gets better
Watched all of the new Black Mirror and although some of its episodes I quite enjoyed I do think the series as a whole has generally lost its bite a bit, which is a bit of a shame as it used to be absolutely must watch tv.
Love Race Across The World, think it’s a great programme to watch as a family and see that there is so much difference in the world, so much to explore etc
Don’t seem to be too many working class in this series. Look a good mix of pairs though.
BTW…it’s amazing how we all have different views. KBLS thinks the route looks brilliant, it wouldn’t really appeal to me at all tbh
It’s a proper ‘travellers’ route. The Indian parts are the ones we did back in the day before mobile phones and you just had internet cafes with dial up that may or may not work. I'm looking forward to see how it’s changed. It will really test their metal. The only advantage they’ll have there over the likes of China is that even in the smallest of backwater villages they’ll speak English. They love showing off their English.
Spot on. I spent 18 months in India in total between 1990 and 94. Love the place. But getting around can be a challenge. Once spent 51 hours on a train.
When we first went to Goa in 1990 the nearest phone was a 20 minute bike ride away and you had to queue to use it. Heaven.
Watching The Diamond Heist on Netflix pretty easy watching, assume all the robbers were Millwall 😂
Making me feel old though as obviously all set around The Millenium Dome as it was then and can remember it
I went to a rave there NYE 2000/01 was a bit different then
I went to one of the first Sunrise parties there in 1988 when it was a disused gas silo thing. The old bill tried to stop it but was front page of the Sun. Happy days.

Does it get better?
I wouldn't recommend it personally.

The boy is due everything that's coming to him, somehow more unlikeable than Geoff Bell playing a nasty bastard. Which is a fair achievement
Mind you, Jar Jar Binks would probably make a better prime minister than the ones we've recently had.
