Bodie is home - he can walk, but only with harness on and lead, otherwise he will try and run - he is however not impressed with his new (temporary) sleeping arrangements
Stitches out in 2 weeks, then cone off - in 6 weeks, vet check up, incl X-rays - if all good, life is back to normal - gonna be tough, but anything for my boys
Sorry Bodie - I know you don’t understand

6 weeks is going to seem interminable for him poor little soul, but great he's home.1

Its the only way to ensure he doesn’t damage the fixes to his legs3 -

Its the only way to ensure he doesn’t damage the fixes to his legsHopefully he'll spend as much time as possible out of his cage and will be less painful for him as time goes on.The number one thing is that he's home.3 -
Great news but bless him he doesn’t look happy. But at least he’s home with his pal Buster and surrounded by a lot of love.2

Great that he’s home, best of luck for your recovery Bodie, the Addicks family are behind you!!2

Bless him…….Try him on an inflatable collar, certainly more comfortable for him and more forgiving on furniture and decor in the house.3

Bodie has settled down over night - the painkillers are clearly very strong indeed - he has had breakfast - we are allowed to take dressings off the stitches now, so they get air and speed healing - he has stopped crying - his brother is totally bemused and just lays next to Bodie’s crate all the time - you can see the stitches in this photo

Ignore the wrinkly hand, these rescue cats are George Jetson Jasper Carrott and lady Jade, after the sad demise of our old cat Stig before Christmas we took this gang on about a month ago, they've settled really well.

Little Bodie update
Things have settled down a bit - however he hadn’t had a poo for 4 days, so we were worried - he is walking very strongly now, quite amazing really - walking him in the street outside wasn’t however getting any toilet results - so I took him to Hesketh Park, where there are lots of other dog smells - it worked, and half the universe dropped out of his arse + a huge wee
Never before has a poo been celebrated like a last minute CAFC winning goal 😀11 -
Hooray for the poo!2

Honestly, once you have pets/animals of any kind, you become a poo expert.
Delighted for you & especially Bodie, who no doubt feels so much better 🥰3 -
Nice when you get official feedback, but the best kind comes from parents or guardians of the children.Yesterday as I waited to collect my granddaughter I was approached in reception by a lady who asked if was the guy who’s dogs sit with the children, she named two children who I know are related, my response was to ask if she was mum.
Sadly she wasn’t but she is the legal guardian of these two beautiful children, I’ve read with them both over the years and the young girl often comes out to the dogs when she’s not having the best of days, she’s taken to drawing pictures of Bowyer in particular which I put up on the wall.
Talking about the children’s work with the dogs I was then told the effects it was having on the children away from school, how it’s increased their confidence in all aspects of their young lives and other ways the dogs have made a difference.I’ve no idea what has happened to cause these children to be in the situation they are in, but as the discussion went on we were soon to be joined by the children with their TA who instead of greeting their guardian rushed forward and hugged me.Looking at the lady, who simply said “l told you, you are making a difference “7 -
