Alex Gilbert is with the same agency as Gallagher, Famewo, Gilbey, Leko, Washington and Egbo to name a few ex Charlton players.

Him not being in the squad recently suggests we have been trying to offload.5 -
To be fair, I think it’s probably how a lot of recruitment works, especially outside the top two leagues as it’s about favours and relationships a lot more than going out and building huge scouting networks across the globe. We aren’t a Peterborough for example where we pick up gems from raw scouting so things like having contacts with certain agencies is probably quite normal.ElfsborgAddick said:

Gilbert from the clips looked like he could knock a decent pass around. If he helps us control the ball more and also exploit diagonals to TC and Small he should be a very good addition.3
