    Because they cheat. The rule is you can only sign a player once the selling club have done all their business first & loans can only be signed after 9pm on deadline day.

    Well.....thats what we keep on being told by various punters on here.

    Via Football League World. Never know them to be a reliable source. So probably will be this time with this being an important signing for us.

    Would surprise me if Swansea were still in play with their current form , more likely they'll pull the trigger on Luke Williams as manager than sign anyone

    22-59 and thirty seconds. Perhaps we should do the Transfer Window lottery. A) we tried really hard to get the deal over the line but we ran out of time.
    B) We couldn’t get anyone in but are really happy with what we have in our squad. 
    C) The 16 year old we managed to bring in on loan from Spurs had a clutch of Clubs vying for his signature. But the player wanted to come to South East London. To a mid table League one Club.

    Wouldn’t shock me. They’ve just lost Matt Grimes. So Gilbert as a replacement could make sense

    Good grief! That’s the signing that the SMT are most confident about and yet we’re battling it out with Championship Swansea.
