Would love this. Bristol don’t seem to have any issues with their pitch.1

Does this mean that next year's away kit will be a yellow/black stripey job? will we need to start ordering half and half scarves?3

League (especially London as they’ve been nomads for so long) crowds are declining despite what the RFL would have you believe.0 -

If that is right then the place is possibly viable for Rugby, maybe Blackheath will return there one day.
Askeans play much further down the rugby pyramid - when they moved in they weren't charging an admission fee for spectators.1 - Sponsored links:

Wouldn’t there be a cap on the number of events the club is licensed to hold at the Valley ? We will have already increased the number being held by moving the women’s team games to the Valley. Add Wasps games as well and that’s probably doubling the number held last season.0

Also to note that a Rugby season features far less home games than a football one. In the rugby second tier (possibly lower depending on where the rfu plonk them) without European games it would be around 10-12 games a season.
Still a big impact on the pitch of course.0 -

Im not seeing this reported anywhere outside of the times with talksport just regurgitating that. I don't think it's happening.0

This was going around as a rumour a few months back. I heard it from someone who's friend isn't a Charlton fan but is into rugger and has heard about it.
I asked around and was told that indeed the club was talking to an unnamed rugby club but it was only preliminary talks and nothing had been agreed.
Whether this is just the Times picking up on old news or something more has happened I don't know but there are no quotes from either club in the Times but no denials either.2 -
Still surprised Wasps are aiming for the Championship, and not aiming for a place in the URC0

Have they actually played any games since being relegated to tier 10 in may 2023.0

The thought of rugby being played at The Valley makes me feel physically sick.8

For Wasps they still have the Ricoh as there home. I would suggest that they do not have the money to pay the bills, I would not touch them with a barge pole, you just have to look at their record.0 -

All I do remember was they were set up on the pitch at half time in front of The East Stand at the time, probably '96?
Thinking about it maybe it was pre-match entertainment, not half time...0 -
I remember Squeeze played, but the Rollers I don't.
