Much rather Everton go down.
even angrier and shoutier than John McEnroe 'you can not be serious, you can not be serious'14 -
Everton are looking very fragile especially as Calvert- Lewin is incapable of scoring a t m despite some good service from the wingers .. probably be a shoot out between them and Luton to stay up0
-
I know there are reasons for it blah blah blah. But the run in has started and there’s a 3 way title race for the first time in years.Man City play tonight, Liverpool tomorrow and neither of them are on tele.0

Am pretty sure its all to do with the Champions League
Domestic Top Flight Leagues aren't allowed to be televised when those games are on, or something to that extent
Bit stupid, as imagine there will be a guaranteed Stream of the games, somewhere2 -

Only once in Premier League history have the 3 promoted teams gone down the next season. This happened in 97/98 when Barnsley, Bolton and Palace fell through the trapdoor.
23/24 looks like being the 2nd time.0 -
I think Luton will have just enough about them to survive.0

Everton look pretty woeful and may have more points deducted. Same with Forest. That would likely save Luton. Without those points deducted (if Everton win their appeal) then Luton look doomed despite their very spirited efforts.0

If you take out the Arsenal defeat, their last 6 league results have been 4-2, 4-0, 4-1, 3-1, 4-1, 4-1.
I think if they beat Man City at Anfield in 3 weeks then they'll be champions.1 -
My fear is c***eta and the c***ettes, who in their last 5 Prem games have won 5-0 6-0 3-1 2-1 5-0
luckily the wobble before that saw them pick up 1pt in 3 games
they’re 5 points behind with a game in hand0 -
I don't think Arsenal will do it, they have by far the toughest run in. Still have to go away to City, Spurs and Man U. They also have Villa and Chelsea at home.
City's toughest games are Arsenal and Man U at home, Liverpool and Spurs away.
Liverpool have City and Spurs at home, United and Villa away.0 -

I think Harvey Elliott is turning into a great player. Think he could be a great squad option for England at the Euros. Offers options in so many positions.3

Arsenal have been relentless tonight0

"Newcastle now conceded 31 goals in 12 Premier League games since December 7."

Got to hand it to the Gooners, 25 goals in their last 6 games is some bloody effort. Peaking at just the right time for the run in.
The bastards!
(edited as I'd said 26 in 5!)1 -
After their excellent 22/23 season and gaining their Champions League place the 23/24 campaign has taken its toll with the midweek games and a big injury list.
Hot and cold and Arsenal are very sharp in the league and played through and round them and Newcastle were punch drunk by the end.
Nick Pope is a big miss for the Geordies.0 -
I'm amazed Kompany isn't under more pressure. This is way worse than the season Dyche got sacked by Burnley.1

Dyche over achieved at Burnley and shouldn't have been sacked as their budget was of a bottom 3 Premier club. Dyche got the tin tac when Burnley were 4 points shy of Everton in 18th place. Mike Jackson took over and they finished 18th on the last day of the 21/22 season.
Kompany has/had a really good Championship squad but a weak Premier squad.
Luton are the surprise team as they are not 20th and have had a real go but still likely to go down with Sheffield United who are way short this season.
Unless Forest and Everton implode I can't see anyone but 3 yo-yo Norwich type teams going back to the EFL.
