    Honestly what was the fucking loser hoping to accomplish with his behaviour? Surely he must have seen this behaviour both be acceptable  and work in the past to believe he had any chance of getting away with any of this.

    Proper fucking creep. I don't care that what he did didn't happen in Britain, still deserves locking up based on the full transcript (linked)

    I did say that.  For me he was poor at man management of younger players and ruled with fear.  Probably what you would call "old-school" but possibly a bit too extreme and certainly not what you expect to see in this day and age.

    From reading this it seems he was just a bully with what appears to be a bit of a god complex.  I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the middle east to try and rebuild his career because nobody over here will touch him with a barge pole now.

    Your comment about how harsh he was with youth players was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the headline. The two are not directly related, and also abusers often act with impunity in other parts of their lives.

    If any of those women suffered any form of abuse from this maggot and the club were aware of the charges there will be hell to pay for allowing him to continue working and for exposing those women to potential abuse. He had already admitted his guilt at this stage and I would be astonished if the club were not aware of that.

    It seems impossible that the club didn't know. The FA will have safeguarding policies that compel them to report predators who are working in positions of power at football clubs.

    I suspect you're right and given the HR history of the club under the last regime I think it probably got ignored because of the "apology"

    It was also 10-14 days before he was interviewed by the FA on the 26th July.  I think both the FA and Club need to explain what the process was and who was informed and when.  

    As an aside, Senda wasn’t out with Holden, Hayesy and Shimmell when we bumped into them on the last night of the tour. It was the month after the course, so he would have known repercussions were coming for him. Can’t see him ever working in sport in the UK again and it’s very wrong that he isn’t serving a lengthy custodial sentence right now.

    Bang on - club were told, but not what the offence was, but surely the automatic thing is to then ask the person - if he lied upon being asked, ok

    BUT I say again, I bet plenty of people knew just by word of mouth what he had done

    That reads that the FA didn't tell the club the seriousness of this at all nor expect any action by the club.

    That may highlight a flaw in their processes for such matters.

    That is insane. The FA don't notify the club of a potentially dangerous man working in a position of power with young people and women.

    It may but the statement doesn’t tell you what Charlton knew, only what the FA told them. If you don’t know, you ask, don’t you?

    I don't think this is going to go well for the club, nor should it. Imagine hearing that one of your employees was being investigated by the FA and just having no further questions

    Surely you just suspend them regardless. You'd know what it was if it was from a match or something others had witnessed so the mystery of it should be a red flag

    It was as much the second element that was of interest to me i.e. the FA don't expect / demand (seemingly) any specific action by the club.

    In this case I guess it is possible the club did ask and were lied to / misinformed about the seriousness of the issue and perhaps (just perhaps) it was suggested as no more than drunkenness and no mention of sexual misconduct? We don't know of course. Seems very odd that the FA don't say more & I am not sure I would have previously believed that is how it works.

    Maybe not if he stayed at home until the course was due to finish? 

    I imagine any employee in any business might choose to stay silent until they had to on any disciplinary matter.

    Given the severity of the allegation the FA should have let Charlton know straight away and how series it was. Charlton should have immediately suspended Senda pending the completion of the investigation and hearing. Either the club or the FA have been negligent with this or perhaps both. It amounts to a safe guarding concern considering his position at the club and the level of trust that position would hold.

    I think both have. The FA should have mentioned what it was, though maybe there is some sort of rule where they can’t whilst it’s under investigation?

    And the club certainly should have asked what it was. Also considering he was sent home early from the course, did it not come to light to the club then (unless he didn’t tell them).
