I worked in Pakistan for 2 years and got typhoid twice! But was pretty lucky otherwise. A few colleagues and visitors, when the security situation allowed them, were not so lucky - numerous mattresses had to be burnt and there were a number of coffins in the stores!killerandflash said:

Do Sky even send anyone over for an overseas tour anymore? He can spend the time in Isleworth and then do the home tests next summer1

The Aussies also didn't have a sniff after that ball change. I'm sure had that happened to us (and in Australia especially) we wouldn't have let that pass us by as we are happy to do even if it was the Umpires fault. Am trying to be objective (as always) and not anti- Bairstow but I agree he got better as probably lacked match time. It was an horrific leg break (sorry couldn't resist the wording) that mostly occurs as a result of a motorcycle crash not a golfing 'incident'0 -

Not sure about all this ball change nonsense. We have heard from the bowlers that the new ball had done nothing all series. The older ball had had the more impact. The umpire did the Aussies a favour. If it wasn’t for rain we would have won 3-2. Those first two tests could have gone England’s way too. They need to pipe down.Addick Addict said:

The trying to get the ball changed every so often by both teams was ridiculous in this series , the fact the neutral umpires chose what they did is not Englands fault but of course they benefitted the next day with how it moved
