    It hasn't rained for a few hours here but it's horrible batting conditions.  Just hope that ball keeps reversing

    We have already lost 18 overs when we were bowling, might not even have needed today of we had bowled them.

    I admit I was wrong. 

    Couldnt see any play today & there we are staring at 2.45pm.

    Will have to keep switching between The Ashes & The Open. Yesterday I missed all 4 wickets live.

    AccuWeather is predicting a rain shower to start in 48 minutes. Could do with a wicket or 3 before then!

    Three overs bowled, no major chances yet. One lbw shout from Wood but big inside edge. And one weird aggressive shot from Marsh but no fielder close enough to take it on the boundary.

    Not sure I quite understand the short ball ploy when the Aussies don't need to hit the ball to win? Can just stand there and duck them all day.

    Got in the IWM at 2.05pm not tempting fate of waiting for inspection, got up the stairs into first exhibition. Got the msg. Left the IWM. Got in seats. Stand between party and Jimmy’s end. Below the balcony standing people. Aisle seats with order to seat option which is cheaper than the main bars. I like old Trafford a lot more today after 30 mins! Now just need some wickets.

    It's still a decent pitch, that's the reality. The Root grubber was the exception rather than something happening once an over.
