It'll take an hour or two to clear the pitch from water!

No. This looks like a typical Manchester day. Rain from dawn till dusk!

Well the Australians don't think so they have turned up at the ground.  I reckon we will get a couple of hours in now.

If it’s any consolation it’s a beautiful sunny morning here in the south of the Isle of Wight.  No, didn’t think it would be…….
For the sake of balance I should report that it is now pissing down in the south of the Isle of Wight.

it’s brightening up in the city centre… I’d go so far as to say the sun is trying to come out.  But I think I may be deluded and over excited that it isn’t bucketing down.

Heading to the quays shortly to visit a museum whilst checking phone constantly for any news.

If we can get an hour today I’d be delighted. 2 wickets and then another 2 hours tomorrow and we could squeeze the win.

Good gallery that, and free. The Imperial War Museum is well worth a visit too.

They've gone for lunch. Hopefully the rain stays away for a while and we can get a few wickets.

amend that to a LOT of wickets .. i.e. an innings win

IWM north is where we’re heading but likely have time for the Lowry too. And all the other museums in Manchester as we’re here till Monday!

Our first play off final is on. It would be good if the cricket starts just as the football finishes

Looks like a front of rain coming in about 4, they can play until 7.30 so what is the latest time they could, hypothetically, start again?

    England 1.91
    Draw 2.08
    Australia 500

Just remember Australia were 116/4 when the started after rain in Leeds.  England bowled them out in 20 overs.

    England 1.91
    Draw 2.08
    Australia 500
    Now 1.87 and 2.14…

Either way, it’s looking like a coin flip. A lot better than the draw being down at 1.42.
