Khawaja has copped a bad one there. Should've reviewed

Not sure i've ever seen a quicker outfield in England

Only cos Fred's weren't recorded.Pelling1993 said:Fastest ever over recorded at Headingley0 -
I much prefer pitches with a bit of pace and bounce in them2
-
Was going to say, does it get any better than a proper quick bowler making stumps fly off?Pelling1993 said:This is pretty much as good as test cricket gets. Absolute thunder bolts from Wood. Marnus doing a decent job up to now3 -
It's interesting when you see that Tongue, our second fastest bowler in the Series, averages 84.9mph compared to Wood's 93.0mph. The gap between them is massive especially when one considers that the gap between Tongue and the rest of our seamers is in the 2.5 to-4.0mph range.2

another drop for bairstow in the book...

A tough chance there for Bairstow.
But I believe Foakes would have caught it.2 -
I can't say whether Foakes would have caught that one or not but I do know that, generally speaking, Foakes' movement of the feet is much the better of the two and that does mean that he isn't quite so flat footed when he does have to dive3
-
Foakes would have caught it and thrown the stumps down too5

Hopefully it's not costly, Smith for 4 would have been a result.0 -
and Foakes would have scored a hundred and bowled faster then Woods, cause you know he's magic2
-
Anyway, cracking wicket

Labuschange gone
Get in0 -
Woakes starting to justify his selection. Well done son!3

Interesting debate on how quick the older generation were, before speed guns were common.Cafc43v3r said:

Consensus is Jeff Thomson may have been the fastest, I wonder how quick Holding etc were.0 -
Get the f*ck in0

Yes 3 gone
Come On ENGLAND

Yes but the stumping wouldn't have been out. Unlike Bairstow's.Leuth said:Foakes would have caught it and thrown the stumps down too1 -

I was on the bog for the Labuschagne wicket, so I'm claiming that.4
-
1 more before lunch would signal a great morning for England.
3 down isn't too shabby though3 -
And won more Majors than Woods tooRothko said:and Foakes would have scored a hundred and bowled faster then Woods, cause you know he's magic1 -
Let's hope you have a touch of the runs then!killerandflash said:I was on the bog for the Labuschagne wicket, so I'm claiming that.1 -
Whilst there's no doubting that Foakes is the best keeper, he's dropped plenty in an England shirt too.0

All keeper's drop catches no ones perfect.Pelling1993 said:Whilst there's no doubting that Foakes is the best keeper, he's dropped plenty in an England shirt too.
But there's no denying Foakes is a far superior keeper than Bairstow.3 -
Smith is the one we need to get. That stat of him averaging 87.57 in the first innings of a match in Test cricket is absolutely staggering - 4,641 runs in 61 innings of which he was not 8 times3
-
And Bairstow is the far superior batsman.blackpool72 said:

Not when taking the gloves he isn't.Pelling1993 said:

Edit - that isn't actually true because from what I can see Bairstow averages 37.08 when keeper and 36.62 when keeper. Foakes averages 32.20 so the differential is 4.88 runs per innings. It's a question then of quantifying how many runs and games Foakes' mistakes have cost us compared to Bairstow1 -
Bairstow averages 37 in TestsPelling1993 said:

Foakes averages 32 in Tests.
So 10 runs per Test difference.
The dropped catches and missed stumping add up to far more than that.5
