I don’t they would ever start earlier in England. Many reasons. Not just Hollyoaks. Staff at ground, security, police etc. there is a tight ‘pre match schedule’ to follow and I’m not sure it can be flexed. Plus it was raining at 10.30 this morning anyway.Cafc43v3r said:

@suzisausage yet they could start at 10.30 when Hollyoakes needed to be on at 6.30. Obviously wouldn't apply today but just extending the evening session every time isn't a great solution is it?They started 30 mins earlier at a test in St Lucia once I think when we were there. The strategy is to bowl dry and force a mistake and it has worked - Green out hooking.
England won several Tests from this position last year - even chasing down nearly 400 v India (different wicket/ground admittedly). Australia are in a strong position but want every run they can especially as they are without Lyon's bowling on a four/five day wicket.
