30 minutes down the road for me . Got mine
  • Last year I flew the whole family over from France for this fixture. We booked three nights in Cambridge. Then Sky changed the dates.

Then when we arrived in Cambridge in our hire car at 1am I found that the hotel had been booked for the previous weekend and it took us until 3am to find somewhere else with availability.☹️

Although seeing this fixture come up again makes me want to shake my first at Sky, we had a great time nevertheless

From what I’ve read in the train strike, great Northern which goes from kings x to Cambridge Doesn’t seem to be affected by the strike (at least from what I’ve seen) , anyone able to confirm that? South eastern definitely ease so most still handicapped but the main leg is the london to cambridge bit

Just picking out a few relevant companies

Southern Rail - the railway will have limited opening hours with customers advised to avoid travel
Great Northern - advice is the same as Southern Rail
Thameslink - firm repeats advice to avoid travel on strike days and expect disruption on the day after
Southeastern - there will be no Southeastern, Southern or Thameslink train services from the company's station on strike days

The RMT union has suspended all industrial action at Network Rail after receiving a new pay offer.

Members at the organisation, which employs maintenance workers and signallers, were due to walk out on 16 March alongside train company staff.

If workers employed by train companies do take part in strikes from16 March, there will still be disruption.

But the impact is likely to be less extensive than if Network Rail were also on strike.

An RMT spokesperson said: "The RMT National Executive Committee has taken the decision to suspend all industrial action on Network Rail following receipt of a new offer from the employer. Further updates will be given on all aspects of the national rail dispute in the coming days."
