If they’ve got the tickets surely people could collect from Friday to spread out a bit and save Saturday bring mental Assume they need all the time they can get to sort the tickets so that each fan gets the ticket they have stupidly already allocated to you. Why they needed to do that I don’t know. Surely they could have said LargeAddick four tickets and given the next four, ElthamAddick three tickets and given the next three etc etc.Elthamaddick said:Belv said:
Mobile units seems to be a sensible idea, imagine it’ll be sorted alphabetically. Open all day too, without tempting fate, think the club have got this spot on so far.0 -
I assume since last Wednesday it’s been all hands to the pump selling the tickets. The units are going to be open from 10.30-18.00 on Saturday, hoping it’s not going to be too much of an issue.Elthamaddick said:

Tried to get two of the extra 2000 allocation.
says only option is wheelchair or over 65 tickets
have the rest all gone already?1 -
Yeah especially as I’m not taking my kids, will really rub their noses in itAFKABartram said:Yeah, gutted can’t collect on Friday. Saturday queuing with kids in tow etc is going to be a nightmare

They won’t have allocated the tickets until they received them.LargeAddick said:

They’ve probably had them for days, it’s probably been non-stop for them the last week just in sales so it’s probably easier for them this way. Now the initial batch have sold out, they can get them enveloped up and sorted alphabetically all ready for Saturday.0 -
Info on how to buy announced tomorrow am.Valley11 said:Tried to get two of the extra 2000 allocation.

I propose 8 separate ticket collection stations for the 8 different phases. Only fair.2

Let's see how we'll we mobilise for Exeter awayRedvalleyeast said:Charlton fans sure know how to mobilise, never fails to impress me how this little club of ours can get numbers behind them,9k + to old trafford, 40k to wembley etc. Just shows the potential of CAFC if someone comes in and runs the club properly and with ambition.4 -
Does anyone know if collection is an option for tomorrow?2

No, unless they change rules.PopIcon said:Does anyone know if collection is an option for tomorrow?0 -

Thanks both.Belv said:
Can ring and ask but the latest update says Saturday and Monday, my guess is that is what they’ll be sticking to as they are setting up a collection point specifically for United tickets.PopIcon said:Does anyone know if collection is an option for tomorrow?0 -
Here is a seventy page thread from the Brighton site about getting their tickets for the game away at Charlton.
https://www.northstandchat.com/threads/carabao-cup-fourth-round-charlton-3rd-allocation-of-tickets.397703/
Worth a read to see how useless we can be in organising the ticket issue, although the degree of heft from the Charlton end is not the whole story of the chaos, the post and the Brighton movers and shakers are also culpable.
Many Brighton fans missed some of the action.
It is possible to think through and head off some of the problems before they happen if there is a willingness to do so. You can't stop people being people and if you establish an absurd system and blame the people because it doesn't work, you cause a problem.
I am assuming that Burger Boy is 100% responsible for how all this goes.0 -
If there are 10 windows open on Saturday for collection purposes, and 2000 people are looking to collect,
That works out at 200 per window.
If each person collecting takes one minute (they want ID), then that is 200 minutes per window, which is 3.33 hours per window to get it done.0 -
The mobile units are open from 10.30 Saturday , get there early and pick up your tickets. Then come to the museum6

Six windows if you’re lucky, but 30 seconds average to find and verify.seth plum said:If there are 10 windows open on Saturday for collection purposes, and 2000 people are looking to collect,

i think the problem is they are combining the inevitable problem solving - missing tickets, wrong name on envelope, etc - with matchday, which means the limited full-time staff will be otherwise occupied.I doubt if they will have access to the system in the car park so there will be back and forth, and then come back Monday when we’re less busy or maybe collect at OT.
They really ought to open Sunday if they can’t do it until Saturday. But I appreciate the staff can’t work every day.2 -
120 collections per window per hour on those figures.0

Thanks for that …Callumcafc said:@Bedsaddick was the first to make a prediction for how many we’d sell from a quick skim on the other thread…
“Can’t see us taking more than 3K there for a midweek game . Getting tickets won’t be a problem.”

Congrats on the birth of your son cabbs, I don’t recall seeing anything mentioned on here. Hopefully a fan for the futurecabbles said:Great for everyone going! I was fortunate enough to go up there in 94 and in 98/99, 00/01, 01/02. I won’t be going this time round as my Son was born on the 18th Dec and all games will take a back seat for a while - including not ticking off Forest Green on Valentine’s night (given that’s a new ground I am more up for that than Old Trafford).A lot of our younger fans haven’t had this type of opportunity and may not get it again in a while, so I’m particularly pleased for them. Enjoy it. There’s something a bit special about experiencing those types of stadiums for the first time. I remember it well from the Prem days1 -
Katrien thought it best to keep it quiet from Charlton fans 😉eaststandmike said:

I love cobbles and his horniness for obscure away journeys on a coach full of Charlton freaks , reminds me of my younger days .
First of all congratulations on the birth of your child but I’m almost disappointed you’ve managed to find a partner and have a relationship when I had you down as some sort of god like Charlton away freak whose last interest on earth would be someone of the opposite sex to pro create with when he had so many more grounds to discover and adventures to achieve aboard the djcoaches or whatever firm we now travel with .
Please tell me Katrien is not the mother or Raelynn , she’s done a recent disappearance.21 -

I'm expecting a lot more than that, but who knows?0 -
Presumably most collections will be picking up more than one ticket?Covered End said:

Thanks all. I named him Roland the second. Katrien and I are very happy on the sofa together. I'm shocked by this. I've been to Old Trafford on a Saturday and there's been less than 2k of us there. Also remember laughing at the thought of a big crowd at Ewood. Guess the missing generation theory ws correct. Perhaps we would sell out a load of away end in the premiership the next time around?1
