Arsenal doing their best to hand 4th to Spurs with a home defeat to Brighton.
Meanwhile in the Villa-Spurs game, Mings got the ball but goes dangerously through Kulusevski with his other leg then in the melee after he grabs Hojbjerg by the throat. 2 offences in about 10 seconds.......doesn't even get a yellow.0 -

Apparently Brighton have only won 4 of their last 26 games yet. Yet they’re 11th!? Arsenal without their first choice back four are a mess. Tavares got demolished by Jordan fucking Ayew and today Xhaka at left back…because that will end well. Lack of depth and lack of a goal scorer will cost them top 4 spot.1

Was out for the season the year before and this year has only been trusted to start two games - Norwich and Watford.0 -
Everton the winners from the Norwich/Burnley clash.
Bottom 3 looks semi set now.1 -
I worry for the Burnley fans. Norwich with their owners are always a good bet to keep their squad and bounce straight back up. On the other hand unless I'm mistaken arent Burnley owned by a mob who came in announcing that they had millions to spend etc and did f all ? Wouldnt surprise me if the fire sell the squad and get relegated again next year into league one5

A disappointing couple of days for those of us wanting Everton to go down or at least a relegation battle to the final game3

Liverpool are rattled but such is the quality on show they can be in on goal in the blink of an eye.0
-
Agree on that. I dont mind liverpool as a club but hate most of their supporters attitudes and living up here I know quite a few. City again I dont mind but admit the money rules me lol but putting all that aside they are both some football teams this is a joy to watch1

City are tactically miles ahead of liverpool this game.
Playing those direct diagonal balls to beat the offside trap over and over.
Jesus is tearing Robertson apart and Trent has been left wanting with his tracking back too.2 -
The thing that’s really jumping out at me is that both teams are finding their teammates with pretty much every pass they make, whether it be short balls, 1-2s, long crossfield balls or slide rule passes, there are virtually no over or under-hit balls and the aim is spectacularly accurate.
I’m not just comparing to Rotherham v Charlton either - any other prem teams have had plenty of errors in their games this weekend - these two are just on a different level.
The only thing I would say that has been a little less than elite is the Liverpool back line’s organisation - their offside trap is getting sprung time and again. The only reason they’ve not been punished more is the players they have at the back are so good, they’ve managed to rescue the situations.
Cracking game. And as much as I can’t stand the mickeys, whichever of these teams takes the title, they will be worthy champions.0 -
Big games very rarely live up to the hype, but this is a fantastic game1

Said it multiple times on this thread and I do feel a bit harsh going in on him again considering he’s up against Sterling, Foden, KDB and Cancelo but TAA’s weaknesses being thoroughly exposed so far. Hasn’t had the luxury of Henderson, Matip and Fabinho bailing out how poor he is defensively because they can’t get near City. Nice touch to set up Jota’s goal mind.

The best two teams in the world.0

Interesting that after my comment earlier, there have been a few misplaced passes already by both sides in the second half!0
