Fraser was pony for Ipswich when we tore them a new one in JJ’s golden era , as opposed to when he was at MK and he ran the show against us
The other times he was shunted out to LW, etc
You need very square pegs in very square holes, well at least 8 or 9 of them. Very few league 1 plays are very good in more than 1 hole.0 -
That's a great interview.
We've been crying out for a playmaker like him and everyone would love it for him to become the 'main man' in the spine of the team.
It appears that he is massively motivated to help us get promotion as getting to the Championship will mean that he will likely get the chance to play for his country which is his main ambition; fair play to him....hopefully he'll be wowing the Tartan Army before long and we'll be in the second tier. Win-win!
I've got a good feeling about this; he could end up being a crucial piece of the jigsaw when it comes to getting us back where we belong.
Good luck Scott!2 -
Dave Rudd said:I like this kind of signing. Young enough with some pedigree, but with the potential to improve.
One word of warning ... my Dundee United mate (and, yes, I have one) thinks that Fraser is a good technical player, but can get bullied out of games. He is not a physical player.
It would explain why Pratley snuffed him out that time.
So, Fraser will need a 'minder' alongside him. I'm not sure we have someone like that.0 -
Good interview and I’ve got great hopes for him. But again this highlights the mercenary side of football when he talks about basically giving up for half a season at Burton as he knew he was moving on. I guess we’d all do it at our workplace, and it shows lots of players see playing as also just a job. Bit depressing really!1

Entertaining four minutes but the best but has to be Pearce & Fraser’s appearance towards the end. Stockley looks well too.3

I think Fraser must’ve been wary of an initiation wind up..!1

With the supreme touch , control and comfortableness of our players on the ball he’ll be more than at home3

He fit perfectly in MKs quick, incisive, fluid passing game.
Has he walked into a team of wayward passing, brain dead stasis or clodhopping bungling?
Oh me of little faith!0 -

Oh he's good at dribbling past players? That's interesting. The case for replacing our beloved headless chicken increases yet further0

Definitely a good move to get the best in the league at it. I’m really excited to see him play.0 -

Fraser was played wide left at Ipswich which would be like playing Conor Washington wide left and expecting him to score 1 goal in 3 games. At least we have a manager now that reads my emails 🤦🏻♂️2 -
Was surprised when he replaced Morgan, that he didnt replace him on set pieces.
Especially given his assist count.
Might be one slight concern going forwards, we cross the ball so much, and win so many corners as a result.
Morgan ultimately seems the only player in the team who is capable of supplying a decent dead ball.

Yesterday I noticed that Fraser consulted with Gilbey a couple of times at set plays but the position better suited a right footed player.
This is an area where Scott's signing really excited me so I am looking forward to seeing what he can do.2 -
Fraser was the primary set piece taker at both MK and Burton. He has been here only a week. Once Fraser is settled into the club he most likely will be starting. The argument is really between Albie and Gilbey. Albie is better in a slower possession oriented style but is poor defensively. Gilbey covers more ground and is better in a high tempo style. Neither can finish. My guess is having Fraser in the squad lessens the likelihood of Albie starting eventually since Albie’s best attribute is set pieces but it might come down to who is in the best form. Either way it is nice to have options and different styles available between Fraser/Lee/Gilbey/Albie. That is a very good group for midfield. Bigger concern is if Dobson goes down we are stuck either playing Watson or playing another midfielder out of position.4

As good as he is in his current role, I think Clare is the only option to come in for Dobson should something happen to him. Especially now Lavelle is back fit again.0 -

General opinion on his performance today? Clearly not match fit, but thought he showed some nice touches in the final third. Could see moment of quality but overall had a quiet day.7
