Finished Squid Games. Enjoyed it at first but thought it got steadily less interesting as it went on. The acting by the VIPs was absolutely dreadful.
Yeah it’s been well documented how bad the VIP acting was. Sounded like porn dialogue.
Yeah, absolutely awful. In fact, that episode with the VIPs almost derailed the series. Misguided episode and poor, poor performances.
They needed to show where the money came from I guess.

Started, I am a killer: Released yesterday

Absolute belter of a twist at the end of the first episode.

I just watched the first episode and nothing happened at the end 😂

We talking about the same show? About the guy getting released after shooting the bloke in the subway

Second series of Guilt (Scotland's Fargo) is back on our screens. Cracking stuff...although they could have said prior to the first episode that the main baddie is the same character played by a different actor this series.
Watched all 4 episodes last night via iPlayer and loved it !

Great acting & a plot that kept us guessing throughout.

Mind you, we had to pause it several times to discuss what we had gleaned thus far and as a result, clarified the scenario as we saw it unfolding.

NOT one for a quick  doze  whilst watching, even for a minute.

And Mr F stayed awake the whole time !
Aah that’s better!  I watched it properly this morning when wide awake and it’s excellent. Its amazing how much the new bloke sounds like Bill Paterson. Close your eyes and listen. It’s quite uncanny. Looks nothing like him of course but there y’go. Off to watch episode 2

Really enjoying this. Certainly takes a lot of concentration! Watched second and third episode last night. Saved four for tonight and looking forward to seeing how things conclude.

I finished and thoroughly enjoyed Squid Game last weekend. On the back of it watched Alice in Borderland, but it didn't retain my interest as much as SG. Probably won't bother with the second series.

Watched the first 6 episodes of Brassic. Not as good as previous series, but episode 6 has some real LOL moments.

Just started watching Arn, The Knight Templar series on Prime. It was made in 2007, so not sure whether it just wasn’t available before, but really enjoying it. Very good first episode setting the backstory up in what would be Sweden now.

Anyone watched Animal Kingdom? Finished the first season and just started the second.

Quite enjoying it to be honest. Seems to have a weird/sinister undertone to it and plenty of little stories popping off in it all the time.

Interested to hear others' thoughts on it.
Really enjoyed it. Amazon dropped it after 2/3 seasons though which was annoying. Not sure where you can watch the other seasons unless you buy them
Yeah, have seen that Amazon only have the first 3 seasons. Fortunately I have access to all 5 so am hoping to get a fair few more episodes under my belt tonight and over the weekend.
Can I please ask where you got access to them from? A VPN or another I loved this series and I’m super keen to finish them off. Thx

The 24 Faces of Billy Mulligan was a fascinating mini-series
; true story about an ‘alleged’ murderer. I had never heard of him. Includes real footage and interviews. Well worth a watch.

    Maid on Netflix is decent.

Andii Macdowell is especially good in it and the main character is played by her real life daughter.

Just staring the second series of “The Boys” on Prime.  Mildly amusing easy watching spoiled a little by Karl Urban’s ridiculous attempt at a cockney accent and his flagrant overuse of the C word. I’m no prude, but this is just gratuitous. Otherwise it’s a good laugh.

I'm enjoying 'For All Mankind' on Apple plus, the cast just seem to really enjoy themselves and putting in some good performances in what could be a tacky series but they are moving it up a gear, plus the music selection is fun.

Have watched The Outlaws on Iplayer - first 2 parts available. Comedy thriller written by Steven Merchant - very enjoyable and a good cast.

Really good. Season's 2 and 3 were by far the best. I nearly gave up on season 4 purely because the storyline didn't go in the direction I wanted it to  :D

Some characters 'made' the series, for me, and would have liked to have seen some stick around for the duration (you probably know who I mean ;) ).

That’s pretty much how I saw it @Big_Bad_World

Never thought id be so engrossed in a non-English subtitled show but loved it.

I think what is sometimes difficult with watching shows like this at a later date is there are sometimes repetitive trends in structure, series flow etc than become more noticeable when binge watching within a short space of time. Which if you watched on release, 12 months apart, probably wouldn’t be so noticeable.

I need to watch The Immortal as well

I've got this and Narcos pretty much on a par with each other. Narcos Mexico falls behind but am also looking forward to season 3 of that, which is also due out soon.

Someone recommended Chestnut Man a while back. I'd second that as far as subtitled series go, if you haven't already.
