As it's pointless including JFC before January won't it make 4 if you exclude him and Dempsey?Cafc43v3r said:Right transfer market lists 22 players, of which Morgan, Barker and MacGillivray don't count.
It doesn't include Dempsey but does include Schwartz and JFC.
So we have a minimum of 2, 3 if you don't include Dempsey.0 -
It is a bit concerning that he was there Saturday but hasn’t been announced yet. Knowing the FA they’ve probably been off Sunday and today so we’re still waiting on them to approve the loan! Seen Azeez went through today but was at the Portsmouth training ground on Friday.0

This … Also Ronnie Moore. I know he’s not everyone’s cuppa tea but just ignore if you don’t agree with what he saysMaccn05 said:Honestly can we leave 1956 alone now!!!
Yes he talks some nonsense but also some of his messages are absolutely fine.
A certain set on here just knock down or abuse whatever he says and it’s not cool… it’s far from it
#bekind or just scroll past FFS it’s just bullying9 -

How would you know that detail mate?addick1956 said:
We bid in the first window but didn't think he was worth the amount that Boreham Wood said they wanted. Cawley reported on 16/10/2020 Charlton had made a six figure bid. Borehamwood told SG what would secure him. They offered to accept stage payments.Sage said:
We were interested. The moment a Championship club came in we didn’t have a chance.addick1956 said:Sorbate Thomas, remember him ? Boreham Wood. They wanted 2k or so. What ever it was we offered less. Eventually Huddersfield paid that in January. This season 4 assists and a goal in 5 Championship games this season.
Looks like a good player on the highlights
At the time we had a wage cap and got in Liam Miller who done very well for us in the short time he was here.
A shame we didn’t get him, but we didn’t stand a chance as soon as Huddersfield were serious.addick1956 said:Sorbate Thomas, remember him ? Boreham Wood. They wanted 2k or so. It was widely reported at the time and I think Cawley mentioned it whom is fairly reliable too.orpingtonRED said:

Not really. Us making an offer doesn't mean that the player will accept it, nor does it preclude another club making an offer. So if there was Championship interest, most players are going to pass on a League One move in favour of the increased wages.addick1956 said:

Is anyone upset?Bolderhumphreyreid said:Just relax and enjoy the ride.
I honestly can’t believe people are getting upset because we haven’t signed 12 players in the past 24 hours because Adkins said “watch this space”!
No, we are Charlton fans, and losing players in Windows and being disappointed with the replacement is the norm.
27 hours to go and que Sera Sera.
I will still check every 10 minutes !1 -

Agreed, but cover suggests sitting on the bench. I’d rather sign someone that can play alongside him and then be good enough to play without him.alburyaddick said:
I know we all have different opinions re formation etc but how on earth do we not need cover for Stockley when he is the focal point of all attacks and the current strategy. If he gets injured Davison is not ready to deputise and we would have to change our style of play completely. An injury to him is currently the greatest risk to our progresswmcf123 said:

Would he be worth a loan as cover for Jayden?1 -

Multiple media sources this year say the average Championship wage is $35 kpw. Any club hoping for promotion to the EPL probably need to well exceed this amount. Having no players earning even half that amount probably explains why we went down in 2019-20.Henry Irving said:If Forest are paying anyone £38k a week no wonder they are in trouble.

The signing of Lee indicates we are still going to be playing 433/4231 for the most part. Plus we have Washington. I agree we need a decent striker but Stockley is going to be the lone striker for most of the season (injury permitting) so realistically we are certainly looking at a back up.wmcf123 said:

I've mentioned his name before but I'd be looking at Kane Hemmings from Burton. He's chipped in everywhere he's been. Burton have signed two strikers this summer so I think a deal could be done.0 -

So, a minimum of 8 of the 22 players named in our squad need to be Home Grown. Are we confident that we can fulfil this requirement? Who are the 8 Home Grown players?0
 -
We haven't scored a goal in the second half of 5 League match this season. That includes 3 home matches. We desperately need more fire power to bring off the bench in the 2nd half because in most games we won't be leading by HT. If others can't see how much we miss Chuks Aneke then I'm discombobulated.2

Just over 24 hours to go until we know for sure what of the many opinions of our transfer window was most accurate.
At present we are woefully short so we can only be hopeful that’s it’s a manic Tuesday tomorrow and Tommy kicks it off checking in on social media from the snacks aisle at Makro.0 -

We don’t have good enough midfielders to play 433, nor enough goals from wide areas. Saturday wasn’t perfect but it was a lot better0

            I really don’t believe that we’ll be getting a left back.0

Not sure I agree with that, we've now got Lee and possibly Arter. It's questionable yes, but the depth in central midfield will probably be the strongest in the whole squad. With Lee/Gilbey it completely changes the dynamics of the midfield that we saw in the first few games. If we can get those two chipping in with Kirk, DJ, Washington, Stockley and a new attacking player then suddenly it's not looking too bad.wmcf123 said:We don’t have good enough midfielders to play 433, nor enough goals from wide areas. We offered 200k and they wanted 500k, that’s a hell of a lot of money for a non league player who has never played above that level. Can absolutely see why we didn’t up our offer.addick1956 said:
Are you doubting it ? Firstly I remember we bid . Must have been 200k though I wrote 2k. Cawley reported it. Obviously.orpingtonRED said:

So it is rubbish to say we didn't stand a chance once a Championship side showed up.
I remember Huddersfield got him in the January window.
Then I got the dates on the Internet easy. I checked the facts.
It is what I have said all window. We often don't bid enough. I can understand it if the players asks for wages we don't want to pay but a 100k or 200k on a fee seems selling yourself short.
Also saw a goal Eisa scored on Saturday. Nifty foot work. I thought people on here said he was slow and useless. He didn't see. Any of that.2
