USA take sevens very seriously and select/develop real specialists .. GB tend to pick players for sevens who are not quite good enough/too small for the proper game (15 a side)
Well GB doing ok now ;)

Trying to get my head around how Bianca Walkden who normally trains with a Girl's night out in Liverpool city centre managed to snatched defeat from Victory when she had 3 seconds of game management to keep her opponent away? I know she couldn't step out the ring but why couldn't she negate her opponent in a second ?

Every decision went against her and I thought she was going to be disqualified as she had 8 penalities with 30 seconds still to go.

    A great spectacle.

Love that, i went down to make brekkie came back when 21-0 and we literally scored as i sat back at my desk. What a comeback!

I feel we have a decent team but make alot of mistakes, i stayed up last night and watched the thrashing by Fiji, we just gifted it too them. Nice to get to the semi now, so far by luck (not sleeping) i have watched every game for GB so far, so exciting its like the basketball version of rugby, been getting quite into it.

I'm so tired this morning from trying to stay up to watch the triathlon. It was rather addictive, however I fell asleep briefly as Flora was in her last lap so missed her cross the line but woke up to see Georgia Taylor-Brown get silver! amazing.
As long as you weren't like the Dutch cyclist who thought she'd won gold!

With regards to the players for the Rugby 7s.

Are they picked from the typical Rugby Premiership / England team?

Doesnt appear so from what someone said earlier. Also, don’t they have 7’s tournaments all year round?

What on earth is happening in the SA v Argentina game?

I switched on with SA 7-0 up and immediately saw an Argentina player sent off.

Argentina go 19-7 up, then concede a penalty try and have another player carded.

    19-14 final score.

Another GB fighter winning with less than 10 seconds to go ends up losing.

    And again….
I am no expert but seemed like a huge mistake 2 seconds left 2 points ahead, surely you should never lose there? Not really a massive fan of taekwondo, just feels sometimes you get the right calls and hard to follow
Just watching that, it did seem like a massive mistake. I'm not sure any other sport can change in a split second like that
Is Football overly different when you think about the Bauer goal at Wembley?

Sunderland only had to clear their lines one last time or stop the cross
not really agreeing with your point, like it was literally the last second. Football can change in a moment but you cant go from the halfway line and put it in the top corner within a second. poor analogy
Also, in football (other than in some away goals type scenario) you can’t go from winning to losing in a split second. You can go from drawing to losing very quickly, but that’s not the same.
