Reading the County message board it seems all the fans are p***ed off and that the owners obviously don't like Gannon. Not a popular decision...2 -
About 850 non-league clubs have been handed a £10m injection as the first part of the government's Sports Winter Survival Package.
Teams in the four tiers below National League, National League North and National League South, will benefit.
But Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston also offered hope to the 66 National League clubs, promising: "We will not let clubs go to the wall."

A group of 17 National League clubs have called for the season to be curtailed unless "adequate and fair funding" is handed out to go towards coronavirus testing and to offset losses.
The 17 clubs including Darlington, Dulwich Hamlet, Gateshead and Hereford.

I think there are too many obstacles in the way to see fans back in grounds this season.

All 66 clubs in the three leagues will be sent a resolution for Monday's vote on whether to terminate the 2020-21 season - but the 23 teams in the National League will make their choice independently of the 43 who play in the North and South divisions.Arsenetatters said:When will a decision be made?BBC Sport understands the final wording of the resolution is yet to be agreed. Fair play to Welling in wanting to continue given their current predicament.
As is generally to be expected i guess, the majority of promotion chasing clubs want to carry on and the struggling sides all want to abandon the season, so Welling's stance is quite refreshing.7 -
Would Welling have been relegated though had they not continued (e.g. PPG) or would the whole season (apart from promotion) have been null and void? - I thought fair play myself, but then also thought that if one of the above scenarios was the case then stopping wouldnt be very favourable for themChris_from_Sidcup said:Fair play to Welling in wanting to continue given their current predicament.

Sadly I think you’re right. The work I’m doing with Dorking Wanderers has given me a front row seat for some of the conversations and it’s not looking good. What frustrates me is that, despite it being pretty bloody obvious that the season could get derailed, the ruling bodies made no plan B. It’s understandable that they didn’t know what to do last season but this time there should have been contingency plans. And as for the whole 'we thought they were grants' thing, it's ludicrous that nobody knows what happened (or will admit to knowing). The whole thing is a colossal mess. I am praying Sport England back down and give the money out that the clubs need without demanding it be paid back.
