    We are fighting for every ball. Lack of effort isn’t a problem. We’re just not very good. Taylor, Gallagher and Leko made a huge difference.
  • We can't just keep waiting on other results on relying on every other team south of 15th place to lose. Its laughable.

    The point of being in a relegation fight is you win your games. Then worry about what the others are doing.

    The fact that we have been utter guff when we should be rolling up our sleeves and fighting for every single ball is why we wont be in this league next year.
    I think most clubs are in a relegation battle because they struggle to win their games and are 'guff'

    I really can’t see us picking up another point, Wigan are in amazing form and just beat a team 100-0 and Leeds are going to win the league. Luton will beat Hull on Saturday and we’ll drop into the bottom three never to emerge.

    We were a couple of minutes from safety and blew it.

    It may be laughable, but we cannot rely on this team to save us, as they have shown they don't have the bottle to hold on.

    We're not very good and panic in the last 20 minutes of games when the manager chooses to go too defensive.

    He didn't exactly have much choice, doughty was hurt and Williams was on empty.

    Remember that Wigan only drew 0-0 with Barnsley less than a week ago - there is still hope! They had less possession, only 5 shots and none on target. Come on Lee, get the boys up for this. We CAN win this!

    I don't have issue with those subs really. I agreed with Hemed for Aneke too.

    OFF -> ON
    Doughty -> Purrington or F.Caskey
    Williams -> Morgan or Oztumer
    Hemed -> Aneke

    I really didn't agree with bringing on Pratley for Field or Sarr for McGeady as bringing them on invited additional pressure as we reduced outlets. Without those changes I am mildly confident we would have seen out the fixture.

    We could have gone Field off for F.Caskey if absolutely necessary, but we really didn't need Sarr to come on.

    Can we still hope the teams below us pick up points and drag others into the relegation fight.
    I don't get why anyone has ever wanted this.
    I know. Sorry I was being a little sarcastic as I've never understood it either.

    When the question was being put out there of who we want to win between udders and luton and Wigan and hull, A few were saying the teams below us to bring other into the mix. Strange.

    Yeah it's crazy. Apologies sarcasm sometimes doesn't come across well in text. Agree with your view.

    10 clean sheets in their last 11 games for Wigan , they must be properly shitting themselves with having to face our attack on Saturday
  • Wigan are a bog average Championship team on a decent run but this is The Championship.  We have only one defeat to the top 6 all season so there is absolutely nothing to say we will not beat either Wigan or Leeds.

    Remember in lockdown, we were 2 points adrift of safety and falling fast.  We are now two points clear.  We have a chance.  With a few days before this season started and our tiny and ridiculously poor squad at the time I thought we could set a record low points total.  Bowyer and the rest of the team management and the team have done a great job to get us this close.  If Taylor had seen out the season I have no doubt we would now be safe.

    For those knocking Bowyer then remember in the last summer transfer window we were beaten to Josh Morris by Fleetwood because they could pay him more than RD would sign up to.  Let that sink in a moment.

    You never know in this league.

    Who'd have expected Luton to get a point at Leeds, or us to win at Forest, or Barnsley to win at Fulham.

    It's Wigan we're playing, not Real Madrid. We're more than capable of winning.

    We seem to fare better when the odds are stacked against us, so maybe the more worried we are about Wigan the better for us

    The Hudds Forest game is important. If Hudds lose then a point against Wigan would see us above them all plus Wigan on the final day, assuming Barnsley don't win tonight. Obviously we need to try to beat Wigan but if we don't at least it gives us a chance.

    Huddersfield play West Brom

    Its perfect because West Brom will know anything less than a win gives second place to Brentford who in turn play Barnsley next know anything less than a win gives West Brom second

    If either team going for promotion cant motivate their players for those two games then they dont deserve promotion

    When we went to Wembley, we'd just been beaten at home by Donny and to say I was nervous against Sunderland is an understatement. Wigan are on a fantastic run, no doubt and we aren't, but it really is winner takes all on Saturday. I just hope the players give their all. No point leaving anything in the dressing room. Bowyer should go for broke and make them run their bollocks off until the game is won. Fight and heart is what I demand. We have a great defence. Our forwards need to step up

    Lol, the odds have been stacked against us for some weeks now, we have not just woken up this morning and found ourselves near the bottom of the table.

    Even if this is a draw it's still okay isn't it? They'd need 4 points from the last 2 to overtake us and that's assuming we got no more.

    Yep but I'd be very surprised if Leeds didn't win this and we'd probably rather they have the title wrapped up by next week which they can do if they win today and Sunday
