How can you postpone a football match because of a bit of wind?0
-
They could have taken that decision last night on the basis of the forecast! Many Wet shammers will be well on their way to Manchester by now. Ridiculous.3

Good for West ham that, means it'll be rescheduled for later in the season when City will have a pile up of fixtures once the champions league restarts.0

In that case, I’m going to have to watch another comedy. Any recommendations?3

Same as in icy weather, when the pitch is ok because of under soil heating, but it gets called off because roads/pavements are iced up and dangerous for fans.3 - Sponsored links:

I can see them going down today if they are in a rowing boat anywhere.0

Bournemouth Addick said:In amongst the entirely enjoyable description of their current self inflicted crappy season, against a backdrop of their supporters finally realising they've been sold a total dud by the owners, is mention that there are plans to "square off the stands" and bring them closer to the pitch this year. First I've heard of this.
As a leading "malcontent and keyboard warrior" @PragueAddick can you shed any light on who might be picking up the bill for this?

It's a shame it was called off, I fancied City to pulverise them 6-0. They would have been really fired up after Pep's comments post Tottenham about refreshing the team for next season.2

Cheers @PragueAddick I'd assumed this was just something I'd missed being announced but apparently not. Keep fighting the good fight.
I expect Gavros will resurface on here soon after any enquiry about it becomes public!1 -
I wonder if West Ham have a thread on their forum called ‘are charlton going down’16
-
Their thread is called 'Charlton are going down'.14

THE VALLEY IS OUR HOME.
On a side note I think Bowen is a top signing, West Ham have signed some right slop over the years but I don't believe he falls into that category, we will find out1 -
An article about West Ham written years ago, when they were in trouble (are they ever not) included an opinion that went something like this ..
'the trouble with West Ham is that they can no longer call on four diamond geezers from Gidea Park to have a battle in midfield for them, they need more sophisticated football brains' .. (unquote)
I paraphrase but that was the gist .. the trouble now is that they have too many expensively assembled and overpaid sub standard midfielders defenders and attackers from all around the globe who are NOT prepared to have battle, no matter the size of their brains .. perhaps a few more diamond geezers like Mark Noble are required0 - Sponsored links:

Okaaaay, so "Complete demolition and rebuild", well we taxpayers spent £323m doing a complete rebuild to West Ham's own spec, so I guess demolition and new rebuild, shall we say £800m based on what Emirates and WHL have cost? Yeah, we can cough that up, can't we, folks? "Or we leave" uhuh, and to where exactly?
You could almost feel sorry for them because at least the Valley lay empty and waiting for our return when we were kidnapped and bundled off to Selhurst. The Boleyn is already gone. But unlike us, so many of them were up for this. I don't see a solution to this.14 -
Surely those right angled corners will play havoc with athletes on the 200 metres and above11
-
OR they could resign from all football competition and train their squad to race each other around a running track... That would work!
After all, they are half way there this season right?0 -

The goalkeeping was terrible in that clip.1

@cafc999
Another good shout. Certainly the original contract didn't allow for that, I am pretty sure. There was a fuss when Bilic talked about training at the stadium. I'll check it out.
We've already written to the LLDC asking who is paying for the proposed seating re-config. and Caroline Pidgeon at City Hall has promised to look into it too.
Can't stress to strongly how useful alerts like this are. All of us in the OSC have to some extent switched off as we felt we've taken it as far as we reasonably could - media lost interest in the story - but such alerts help us to switch back on again quickly and remind them all that we haven't gone away.16 -
I did say to tell them, as a taxpayer, you own the ground.3
