What if Chelsea were happy to pay all of Gallagher's £30k PW wages to skint Charlton but now want super rich Charlton to stump up a few bob.
So he's being "assessed" by Chelsea while they wait to see if we'll pay as much as Swansea or another club.
Wild speculation ends0 -
Sad to see Gallagher go and agree its a strange decision. Maybe its down to us losing games and player confidence because he's not looked the same player in the last few matches.
To me it looked like he wasn't getting the same time and space as in a few months ago. Perhaps the premier league will help him.
As we're losing him early perhaps another decent Chelsea player will join on loan.

The next 2 weeks are crucial.3

Does Gallagher really earn £30K a week? Imagine being on that money as a teenager, I would be dead in a month.41

Sage said:With Gallagher gone, we need at least two midfielders, another striker, keep Taylor and Cullen, and another defender.
That’s a lot to do in 2 weeks.
That's a lot to do in 336 hours.1 -

With Gallagher gone, if Cullen really is injured ESI need to get their wallet out and start throwing some wedge around or we will go down

We have done the best bit of business any team could possibly do during this window - getting rid of Roly.Fuck that, I'm not. I do not want to play Accrington Stanley, Bristol Rovers and Oxford.Yes Roland has gone now but we can't just be happy and what will be will be. We need to plan accordingly and get bodies through the door. Staying up is massively important and vital we do so.Cliche on this form but, quite literally the next 2 weeks are crucial. We need bodies through the door, and good ones. Our season could be over by March if we do not get things sorted.Huge test for ESI this, and I fairly confident they will get us through it
The other two granted.3 -
So we're 14 days into the window and so far we have:
Out: Leko, Gallagher (we assume). What's happening with Kayal and Field?
In: Green1 -

Chelsea adding a few zeros on to little old Charlton
Never thought I'd see the day!2 -
Conor Gallagher has been recalled from his loan at Charlton by his parent club Chelsea.
The 19-year-old made 26 appearances for the Addicks, scoring six goals and registering two assists during his time with the club.
Charlton Manager Lee Bowyer said: “I’m disappointed. I didn’t see this coming if I’m honest which makes it harder to take. At the end of the day, though, we have to move on.
“He’s been a credit and a pleasure to work with. He’s come in and put his body on the line every single day. He’s scored us goals and helped us win games. For someone so young, he’s a great talent to work with and I wish him all the best for his future. He’s come in, learnt and he’s going back a better player than we received and that’s what our job is - to improve players.
“I would like to thank Chelsea for loaning us Conor. The most important thing now is that Conor goes on and progresses in his career and we’ve got to move on and try and find a replacement.”
During his time at The Valley, Gallagher received his first call-up to the England U21 squad, scoring in a 3-0 win over Albania and earning four caps in total.
The midfielder added: “I’ve had a great time at Charlton Athletic and I’d like to thank the staff, my teammates and of course the fans. I’ll never forget the excitement of scoring my first goal at The Valley in front of the Covered End.
"I’d like to wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the rest of the season.”

LB. Fucking shafted again. Wait until I see Lampard & I'll tell him where to stick his medals.
Gallagher. Thanks for getting me noticed chaps, but I didn't really want a relegation on my CV.7 -
Good job JFC and Williams are back fit for a few games.1

Does Gallagher have any say in the matter or does he just have to do what Chelsea want?0

Not meant to be a joke but the next two weeks will be critical.1

Some fans might be worried right now .......but;
1) Bowyer will make sure he's got numbers in before the end of the month.
2) Southall says he'll ensure we've got the players to stay in the Championship.
3) And Gallen always seems to know where to find the players that we need to come in.
In the real world this won't happen overnight.
But equally, the club know they've only got a fortnight.
February 1st is the date where we assess how the situation has progressed.

Half way through the month and still no permanent signings in sight. Hey ho.1
