    Wild speculation alert.

What if Chelsea were happy to pay all of Gallagher's £30k PW wages to skint Charlton but now want super rich Charlton to stump up a few bob.

So he's being "assessed" by Chelsea while they wait to see if we'll pay as much as Swansea or another club.

    Wild speculation ends

The January window sends normal people towards the edge, a lot of business gets down towards the end of it, just chill out

Half way through the month and still no permanent signings in sight. Hey ho.
‘No permanent signings in sight’. We literally had a bid accepted for someone yesterday ffs!

There is a long way from "bid accepted'"  to "done deal".

No what you said tho is it. 'No permanent signings in sight' would mean we haven't even had an offer accepted or even offer at all.

Oh no, Maddison hasn't signed yet.

We're doomed. Relegation is a certainty.

I wasn't even slightly perturbed until you posted that, now I have soiled myself not once but twice.

Except the offer we’ve had accepted for a player. Although not finalised and until it’s finalised, may not happen, it’s currently in sight.

The silver lining here is that Southall might panic on deadline day and spend £70 million.

You mean Steve Gallen may not have to sign Josh Parker 5 minutes before the transfer window 'slams shut' ?

I’m actually quite relaxed about who goes and who stays. We have done the best bit of business any team could possibly do during this window - getting rid of Roly.
Fuck that, I'm not. I do not want to play Accrington Stanley, Bristol Rovers and Oxford.

Yes Roland has gone now but we can't just be happy and what will be will be. We need to plan accordingly and get bodies through the door. Staying up is massively important and vital we do so.

Cliche on this form but, quite literally the next 2 weeks are crucial. We need bodies through the door, and good ones. Our season could be over by March if we do not get things sorted.

Huge test for ESI this, and I fairly confident they will get us through it
I don’t want to play those teams either. I didn’t say I was “just happy with what will be will be”.  I said was relaxed about who comes and who goes. Bowyer, Gallen and Southall know what they are doing.
How does anyone know Southall knows what he’s doing - he’s only just walked in the door? He’s unknown to all of us

    The other two granted.
He used to be a football agent - he knows how to get a deal done.  So I would say he knows what he’s doing.

Does Gallagher really earn £30K a week? Imagine being on that money as a teenager, I would be dead in a month.
Drove past him the other day in one of those Merc GLAs. Reg number on the motor CO17OR G. The geezer has cash
    And taste in inverse proportion.

Not meant to be a joke but the next two weeks will be critical.

It's about time people let this go.
Having said that I do think the next 336 hours are critical.

I liked the days when CL used to be the tumbleweed road in the January transfer window. I feel a "we want our blanket and flask back" chant coming on.

Reading the comments on him suggests he'd be best at the tip of the diamond. We'll have a squid of those players soon.
    There fixed it for you.

When we were moving in early November the guys moving us said their company was also moving him that week. They didn't know the details but sounded like he was moving out of his parents house to his own property in Cobham. So sounds like he is doing ok for a relatively young man.
