Talks about scoring more goals, perhaps we see him as a replacement for Gallagher, whether that’s this season or next season. On the Pompey forum it sounds like this season they’ve used him in a deeper role which doesn’t suit him as much.2

I think Close is a 10, I see Mowatt as more of an 8. Presumably you wouldn’t have liked the acquisition of Mark Kinsella because he had spent his career up to then playing below the 2nd tier level, including a couple of seasons in the Conference. He captained us to to two promotions to the Premier League and then to a top half finish in the Premier League.
