    "Several hundred million" is enough but he's not going to risk a big proportion of his personal wealth on a punt. Logically this is using the wealth of the ADBD funds and has the Sheikh's blessing. That's the thick end of £100m, so we can't see this as anything but a very serious and determined takeover.

    Having said that, I wouldn't think they are going to start competing with Man City or Chelsea in the transfer market and that they have a sensible plan to invest as the club succeeds and grows. It would be brilliant to see a promotion challenge and some activity towards expanding the ground capacity to capitalise on a promotion when we could realistically take our home gates above 30,000 and once again significantly increase gate receipts and commercial activity. That would also demonstrate a longer term commitment to the club.
