Better at the job he was put in there to do? Absolutely. Pratley was invaluable in the entirety of the play-offs.East_Stand_Loopy said:

Agreed. I am a fan of Pratley. But if I had to choose between JFC and Pratley in a league game at The Valley, I'd pick JFC every time.Croydon said:

Just you wait, Bow has said it, having him back is like a whole new signing, but just you wait for him to show us all how good he is next season.
Really excited to have him back and looking like he is in fantastic condition. For him to be even more important, he needs a quicker striker up front he can play in, but think he will work exceptionally well with Taylor, too.
If we can somehow get a midfield similar to last season with Forster-Caskey in place of the departing Aribo, that would still be strong enough to beat the drop.

Cullen only signed to replace JFC.

You’re right, it is a big ask, but he’s recovered far better than you could have imagined. We are just shy of 11 months from his injury, the initial thought was he would be back now and getting ready for pre-season. Instead, he is in great shape and has been pushing to get fit for a few months already. He’s ticked every box and more so far, I would not put it past him to continue to kick on now.LenGlover said:

Funny old game isn't it, if JFC hadn't got injured preseason we probably wouldn't have signed Cullen. Possibly got a striker on loan instead. Grant doesn't start, moves to Crawley for a nominal fee at Christmas, noone complains or notices.2

Am slightly surprised to see a player contract announcement such as this released on a Sunday, as opposed to it being held over until Monday. Just wondered if it means the club want to issue another player announcement tomorrow, i.e. drip feeding the release of good news, or even bad news. Of course, could be completely wrong!0

Not all of that is true. Grant was always going to stay, Bowyer rated him and wanted him at the club.
