Turns out, unless someone’s having a laugh on wikipedia, that he is Caskeys son and Forsters step-son.

No, I’m saying I don’t remember him being at the same level of Cullen, Bielik, Aribo or Williams. He may well be, but I don’t remember it. Just my opinion
Good news this. He’s a very similar player to Cullen. Based on the last 2 seasons I would say Cullen is a little bit better, but Cullen was playing for a better team under Bowyer and Jacko and also improved as the season went on.
A lot will depend on how good his recovery has been but he certainly has the potential to be a solid Championship level player.

Before he lost his way he was a regular for Brighton in the Championship, and he was looking good here before the injury. Based on how quickly he recovered, I expect him to be back to full fitness and strength when the new season starts.
Am slightly surprised to see a player contract announcement such as this released on a Sunday, as opposed to it being held over until Monday. Just wondered if it means the club want to issue another player announcement tomorrow, i.e. drip feeding the release of good news, or even bad news. Of course, could be completely wrong!

Happy with this, but funny how this is sorted the day after every news outlet was saying Aribo has decided to join Rangers. Good that he was fit towards the end of last season so will be flying after a full preseason.
Five goals and ten assists (top of assists list) while playing as a defensive midfielder, mainly in 4231, says to me a lot of people mis-remembering just how much he contributed in what wasn't a great season.
With two willing runners in Taylor and Grant in front of him he'd have done even better IMHO
Remember Bowyer saying that he wanted to get more goals into Jakes game and for him to take a chance on getting into the box. JFC was just starting to show that when he got injured. I think he’ll learn an awful lot from Bowyer just like everyone else seems to have. We’re going to be up against it next term but I think Bowyer and Jackson will engender that team spirit we saw last year and have the team performing to greater than the sum of its parts.

That's an impressive track record for any 21 year old ..... no doubt he was highly rated within the game. Things went a bit sideways for him after that and he seems to have struggled with loans to 2 successive relegated Champ sides, MKD and Rotherham - before signing for us.
He's only 24, and after missing a year with serious injury, Bowyer has commented on how impressed he's been with his attitude and determination to regain fitness. The lad himself says he's hungry to get back and that in the effort needed for recovery, has found something extra within.
Sounds to me that the time is right for him to fulfill the potential he'd shown as a youngster.
Think he was a very good league one player. Rotherham didn't want him in championship, Id hope for better players at this level tbh. Given our budget as it, we are not going to do any better are we?
And given the lack of signings, why the low key Sunday release?

That’s because he isn’t at their level. Not to say he hasn’t done well for us and will continue to do so, he just isn’t as good a player as the names you mention.

He signed a two year deal last summer.
