from what I've seen of spurs this season and from what my spurs supporting brother has said I have to say Sissoko would be pretty close to my player of the year for them. was brilliant in previous rounds and has already changed things in this game.

lucky there spurs. this is the only problem with this Ajax side. against Juve they could of won by several goals but they love to over pass the ball in the box. no natural forward.

Your 1-0 down at home and you bring on Two defenders !  It shows how short of attackers Spurs are.

This one is controversial, but I don’t think Eriksen is a top level attacking mid. I’ve never seen him show up in a big game.

I fancy Ajax by a goal tonight.
This always happens when I don’t bet on it

Nothing controversial about it at all.  He's been worse than dog shit since Christmas.  I've said it before on here before and been slated for it, he just isnt the same player at the mo.  I watch the team every week and his performances have dropped like a stone.

I've got absolutely no doubts he has been tapped up and off in the summer.

We got an absolute schooling 1st half.  Got no complaints.  They are a good side.  Given the personnel available and Sissoko wasnt fully fit, dont think Poch had a choice but to go 3-5-2.

Sissoko and Rose were our best players by a mile.  The front four were woeful.  Still in the tie though.

Would love to know how much time their keeper wasted in the game!

Expect Ajax to play it tight tonight and hit Spurs on the break.

You will see alot of side-ways football and back to the keeper tonight from Ajax.

Can Ajax get an away goal hope not………

Dutch football back in the 1970s was the best i have ever seen now the dutch game is just boring.

    UP THE SPURS......AND LIVERPOOL

Did you watch them against Madrid and Juve??!!

Yes but only the home games in part.

I can see them every week but prefer to go past

Amsterdam and along the coast to my club.

Know hundreds of people who are fans of Ajax but none of them go .

Can't find it anywhere but i wonder if a side that has entered the competition as early as that (2nd qualifying round) has ever reached the final before?

They entered in the same round as the likes of BATE Borisov and Dinamo Zagreb!

I remember APOEL reaching the Quarter-Finals in 2012 (losing to Real Madrid), they started in the 2nd Qualifying Round

Cant be many who have reached the Semi-Finals or Final though

No doubt they'll blame it on someone else.

If it had happened to one of their fans we’d have to have a minutes silence before the games this weekend

Really hoping they don't make it to the final here in Madrid as a lot of their fans are awful and have caused lots of trouble on other visits. A Spurs-Barcelona final would probably be the best atmosphere here for the residents of the city.

if that was a liverpool fan that had been pushed in the fountain there would already be a petition, a testimonial arranged, a boycott of all fountains

ive seen one of there banners saying " scouse not english - catalonian not spanish " hope barca tear them a new one and the ones that want to play up get a leathering by the spanish police.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Gomez starts at RB tonight and just sits in the whole game. We all know that’s not his position, but defensively he is 10x better than TAA

Crazy that he could get to 600 in just 14 years!

The numbers are staggering. 110 goals in the Champions League alone, so he's done it at the highest level and not just in weaker domestic leagues

Our Joe will have him in his back pocket, just like he did to Neymar.

But could he do it at The Den, in a Charlton shirt?

    Doubt it.
He's good but he's no Kim Grant .

Nice easy game for Joe Gomez to come into !
Trent Arnold and Walker are by far the best attacking RB in England, but tonight Liverpool are going to be more circumspect, and by picking Our Joe and Firmino being on the bench and Liverpool playing the extra midfielder, there approach is more cautious.

Would he pass the CL height test?
