what about trying to get the older Lapslie from Colchester ?0
-
Don't rate him0

He's playing CB now....inbetween Sarr & Bauer.cafcfan1990 said:IF we were to sign both Cullen and O'Kane then Bielik will have to be played as a CB as we would suddenly have a load of CM's and a lack of FB's, CB's and wingers.
Would definitely like to see a winger signed as Marshall is cack.

He is but I don’t think that’s his best position. Bowyers hands are tied because he can’t sign enough so he’s had to look at versatilityArry Addick said:

Heard Cullen passed medical yesterday. Done deal!7
-
Apparently they play in different positions so dont see those two being Cullen and O'Kane, more the like the former and another
Unless of course Bowyer is being pedantic over their Midfield roles1 -
I think the second player LB is talking about could be a winger/striker. Still think O’Kane could happen though.3
-
Yeah its the only other position I can think of or that we urgently need - Be interesting who that might be as there have certainly been no hintsShootersHillGuru said:I think the second player LB is talking about could be a winger/striker. Still think O’Kane could happen though.

I did think maybe Callum Harriott but he’s not played since December 2016!! Think he’s injured again.0
-
Josh Cullen. Hopefully a second who is a winger/striker, as that’s the position Bowyer wanted to fill.2

I guess this will see a return to the U23s for Lapslie and Morgan
Cant see them getting much time (outside of the Trophy and FA Cup) with the loanees and returning injured players0 -
Both are promising young talents no doubt but we can't rely on the youngsters we only have 5 pts from 5 games.ForeverAddickted said:I guess this will see a return to the U23s for Lapslie and Morgan

Lapslie and Morgan arent the reason we only have five points... The former did more in his cameo than Marshall did for 60mins yesterday!!MartinCAFC said:

You can't fault Lapslie for effort that's for sure , but not quite ready for the first team as Bowyer has said. Prefer him over Marshall all day long though .4

Could it be Fred Onyedinma of Millwall? Not in their 18 today even when they have injuries?0
-
They do have a place and may well end up crucial, but the original point still stands... you can't RELY on them. Use them sparingly, yes. Rely, no. For one thing it's the nature of young players breaking through to blow hot and cold, they will always have an off game sometimes and no say as to when this will be. Quite apart from which, it's completely unfair on the players themselves and can do serious harm to their prospects and development (cf. Wagstaff, Scott.)ForeverAddickted said:

Cullen will sign, but the winger/striker remains a mystery.0
-
Rumours abound that Cullen has actually signed, but too late to play yesterday.1
-
I didn't say either were the reason we're on 5 pts from 5 games. Far from it they've been shining lights so far, we just can't rely on them so soon.ForeverAddickted said:

Could it be Jamie Ward? Is a winger/striker type player that Bowyer is after, isn’t a youngster so helps with experience and Nottingham Forest are trying to shift him out on loan.
Could be a great signing if it were to be him.5 -
Be very happy with him... Would certainly add some needed experience with the other youthful loans were signingSage said:Could it be Jamie Ward?
