    Got what we deserve. Tried to hold onto a 1-0 for 45 minutes when we were looking so good in the first half. Baffling.

    First 45 minutes we should've put them to bed. Kane hitting the post at 1-0 going through my mind.

    Wouldn't say they are better than us. It was a 50/50 game and whoever took the lead in extra time was going to kill the game and not allow the opposition to throw the kitchen sink at it.

    Really poor. So many of our players didn't turn up and we fell against the first decent team we played. Would have taken semis before the tournament started but it still hurts. Croatia just had more experienced players with more ideas and ways to change the game. We look very good for Euro 2020 with the semis and final in England though - that would be a perfect time for football to come home.

    Don’t feel as gutted as I normally would. I think the realization kicked in during the second half we just looked out of our depth and resorted to trying to keep the ball around the back instead of going for it. And we looked like world beaters in the first half.

    Proud of the team. Expected nothing and we got to the last weekend of the world cup.

    Absolutely gutted but I've enjoyed this world cup so so much and us performing as we have is a major reason for that. With the youngsters we have coming through, the future is bright.

    We won a bloody penalty shootout, we have a manager to believe in and a team we can get behind at long last. Come on England, bring a cup home at Wembley in 2020.

    I just had a feeling before the semis that we would play Belgium again, so when they lost to France I expected this might happen.

    Disappointing but not dismayed as it's a long term project.

    Keep Southgate, keep this squad, young players who can get better, u21s etc winning tournaments.

    This sets us up for euro 2020 at Wembley and Qatar 2022. Keep doing what we're doing. Build on this.
