Beer in Australia is actually so much more than XXXX Fosters, when Inwas there in 03 they had a thriving local Craft style beer industry a bit like the Yanks. Aussies I knew wouldn’t touch that aforementioned bile.

So just to be clear, because I am easily confused, is it now fact that Roland has agreed a sale of CAFC to someone, and that it is now just a question of EFL approval of new owners, and just other loose ends to be sorted?
I know I could be accused of not paying enough attention in class here, but someone else made me do it.

PWR the last 10 pages or so -

I've personally been dubious about the Aussies since it was reported that they were allegedly sniffing round for more investors, but in the last NS report it said "Muir is close to finalising a deal and News Shopper understands the Aussie will have full ownership of the Valley." does this mean that he (Muir) will be the out-right sole owner of the Club / Ground / Training ground and there is no consortium? Or is the report just reiterating that the Ground will be included in the sale, and when they say Muir, they actually mean the consortium, headed by Muir?

Very good. Popping that right in the middle where you thought no one would notice.

On the one hand the takeover is close on the other hand Roland appointing staff to run the gaff is close.
Very easy to think we are being played. Our desperation is our weakness and we cling to rafts made of straw.
It puts me in mind of us being a dog that goes scurrying after the ball but it is a pretend throw.

I've really set myself up for the takeover happening today. If it doesn't- and now I don't think it will - I think I will burst and self combust.

Who is "playing" us? Who is "desperate" or weak?

It hasn't happened yet, that is all.

We've done all we can to influence the process and have done that successfully. Now we don't need desperation, just patience.

I am desperate, I am too weak to ignore the rumours, Richard Murray is one of the characters playing us.
There are plenty of others too, who get a kick out of exploiting our desperation for progress by saying any old thing.
More and more I think the Charlton special forces like ROT and Big in Brazov are the most correct in consistently refusing to believe Roland is anything other than a malevolent and mendacious force.

Not sure it is possible that you can do both, might have to be one or the other.

I think it is entirely reasonable to be able to do both - sequentially though!

Shame it wasn't yesterday, daughter's birthday, would have been a nice present.

Be nice if it is today, as it's the birthday of my mate who I sit next to in the Lower North.

But any day would do, as long as it soon...

"This must go down as one of the most disastrous retail acquisitions ever - a textbook example of how not to do it.

The Australian firm thought they could show the Brits how to do DIY. So confident, they immediately sacked Homebase's senior management team. That was a huge mistake."

This has a familiar ring to it

Don't worry, we have virtually no senior management team left for the Aussies to sack

Bunnings Warehouse adverts use the strapline: "Lowest prices are just the beginning."

At £1 for the whole Homebase business they're not wrong.

To be fair, the spivs dismantled the senior management team not the Belgians. Of the seven people employed on the non-football side when they arrived, only Mick Everett was left by 2014.

But I’m sure Roland would have wrecked that too if he’d had the chance.

Wow! What a mess Duchatelet has got himself into. Unless he sells soon he will have to employ a CEO/Financial bod/new manager and none of them will have any idea how long the job will last for. With that scenario we limp into the new season with a crappy temporary management staff - I doubt if any decent players will want to know. The fool really should have sold in January. What a reputation he deserves, eh?
