This defeat must surely spell the end of his tenure. Pochettino might get it now and bring Kane with him.0

Flew over Madrid on Monday on the way back from Seville and managed to get a photo , albeit not the greatest of both the Wanda Metropolitano and Bernabeu.2

Barcelona derby tonight in the Copa del Rey, with Espanyol one up from the first leg. Hoping they can hold on to that to join Sevilla, Leganes and Alaves in the semi-finals. Barcelona have won the last three cups and are well ahead in the league so be good to have a different winner this year.2

Valencia knocked Alaves out last night.CharltonMadrid said:Barcelona derby tonight in the Copa del Rey, with Espanyol one up from the first leg. I think I better take over as the Spanish Football correspondent on CL from now on.0 -
Arghhh - meant Valencia! Be good to see them win the cup.0

Fair enough, you can take over the reigns again.CharltonMadrid said:Arghhh - meant Valencia!

What sort of attendances are Real getting at the moment? As mentioned before, I’m going in a few weeks and am just thinking about tickets.CharltonMadrid said:Arghhh - meant Valencia! Be good to see them win the cup.

Been a tough few years for Los Che, so good to see them on the up again. Thought they would keep pushing Barcelona for the league earlier this year, but a Copa del Rey win would be an impressive return after years of underperformance.0

Very rarely a sellout so can't imagine you'll have a problem getting tickets.ricky_otto said:

Definitely. Top 4 and the Copa Del Rey would be a great season for them. Hopefully they wont change managers every season as well now.CharltonMadrid said:Been a tough few years for Los Che, so good to see them on the up again. Going there in September so hope it ties in with a home game.1 -
Coutinho on bench for Barcelona0
-
Coutinho came on and looked very comfortable. Barca win 2-0 and go through, inevitably Suarez and Messi scored.
Semi final draw is today.1 -
Barcelona v Valencia and Sevilla v Leganes in the semis. Hoping for a Valencia v Sevilla final but basically hoping the winner is anyone but Barcelona.
Interestingly the venue for the final is usually decided when the teams are known, and often goes to a stadium midway between the two teams.0 -
Assuming the final is Barca v Sevilla then the final should be in Valencia or Madrid then0
-
The Bernabeu is being mooted for the final at the moment.0

Eibar's extremely impressive season continued last night with a one all draw away to their much bigger neighbours Athletic Bilbao. Just off the Europa League places and currently the highest placed of the three Basque teams (them, Athletic and Real Sociedad), their success is incredible considering their budget, fan base and modest history.0

Messi turned up again last night when it mattered . Worst I've seen Barca play in a few months but just about got the job done0
-
Pretty impressive that Messi seems to be better at free kicks than he is from penalties0
-
First leg of the semi-final between Barcelona and Valencia tonight at the Nou Camp and hoping that Valencia can avoid defeat, or at least a heavy one, to go into the second leg in the Mestalla with the chance of making the final.
Leganes and Sevilla drew one all in the first leg of the other semi, with Sevilla now at home in the second leg so will be favourites to go through.0 - Sponsored links:

Small teams are doing really well at the moment, with Girona, Getafe and Leganes having good seasons on a small budget. Despite Barcelona effectively running away at the top, it is a competitive league at the moment - possibly more so than for years.
Currently reading the sport newspaper at the moment and there is an article about tickets for Real Madrid v PSG currently going for €24,000 on the black market!0 -
Can Girona really be praised seeing they're bank rolled by Abu Dhabi? - Give it a few years and they'll surely be challenging at the top?0
-
I don't think they spend much money though, City just send some of their younger players there thats it.ForeverAddickted said:Can Girona really be praised seeing they're bank rolled by Abu Dhabi? - Give it a few years and they'll surely be challenging at the top?

Mainly free transfers and loans for Girona, so what they are doing in their first ever season in the top flight is impressive. They'd be delighted just to stay up but it looks like they could finish in the top half. They have such a small ground and fanbase though, with most people in the area being Barcelona fans up until this season, that they can't really build on this too much more.
They could finish as runners up in a Catalan league if the region gets independence though!2 -
Didnt they spend €4.5 M on 1 played and 2 undisclosed(cant imagine Stuani was cheap)CharltonMadrid said:Mainly free transfers and loans for Girona, so what they are doing in their first ever season in the top flight is impressive. In Spanish but the diagram at the top shows how much each team had spent on their squad at the start of the season. To be competing in any way with Real Madrid and Barcelona considering how much they spend is a great achievement, especially with how much TV money and sponsorship goes to the big two as well.2 -

According to that Gironas is €4.6MCharltonMadrid said:
But they spent €4.5M on 1 playet
Stuani had to be at least €2M as well0 -
Levante deserve that equaliser3
