Can't the girls still do the job but just fully clothed like any other "assistant" aka a reeptionist or secretary.1

Short haired, fat lesbians who don't shave their armpits and hate men are dictating what we can look at! Ohhh, my blood is boiling! Fair enough - name one of them and maybe we can foil their evil plans.0

This is one of those issues where I defer to actual women's opinions - although obviously the idea of 'walk-on girls' is chauvinistic in the extreme. You've all had fun though and that's what's important1

Erm no, they’re dictating what nice looking ones do for a living.MuttleyCAFC said:Short haired, fat lesbians who don't shave their armpits and hate men are dictating what we can look at! Ohhh, my blood is boiling! Fair enough - name one of them and maybe we can foil their evil plans.

No, the owners of F1 made a decsion that they didn't want them. Like they make lots of decisions, some may agree with or disagree with.0

They were "pressured" into making the decision, had all this crap not come out of Hollywood and the PC brigade not latching on to it the grid and darts girls would all be in work in 2018.MuttleyCAFC said:No, the owners of F1 made a decsion that they didn't want them. I cannot stand F1 and don't watch it but it is not the hundreds of thousands of fans that fill the tracks and darts venues each week that are complaining, once again it is a minority speaking on behalf of the majority.
My fix for motor sport comes on two wheels so I hope Moto GP and British Superbikes stand firm and stick two fingers up to the PC brigade.

No they weren't, the new owners decided it didn't fit with their values. Now hopefully they will focus on rule changes to increase overtaking.0

My company hired Danielle Allfree for three days when we did a trade show, she was lovely. She mentioned she did not get paid much at all for the darts, but it put her on TV and got her other modelling work (She LOVED doing it). She mentioned all of the darts players were class.
This in turn allowed for her to make money off calender's and generally earn herself a living. She could then spend loads of time with her child etc.
Its a shame for her and her family that she now cant earn the money required to spend her time with her kid.
Worlds gone mad.5 -
Which women? I've seen plenty of comments from the people in the professions saying it's ridiculous.Leuth said:This is one of those issues where I defer to actual women's opinions - although obviously the idea of 'walk-on girls' is chauvinistic in the extreme. Indeed, I've just read about a "feminist" on the Jeremy Vine show who said that "she wishes people to be more educated" - how f*cking insulting is that?7 -
Just make them mixed sex.shirty5 said:Cheerleaders next to go

A very important issue and glad that it's getting lots of coverage. Nobody seems to have spoken to the darts players and drivers about how they're going to manage going forward. The girls performed an invaluable role and to take them away could destroy these sports.
Sick to death of the PC, Feminazi, lesbian, transgender, lentil eating, sandal wearing, Guardian reading, C4 watching liberal elite in this country who seem intent on destroying basic freedoms and driving people out of work.
I'm going to boycott the darts and F1 in protest - these so called sports are dead to me. When will it all end?

Just a bit of blue sky thinking, but how about in F1 you have naked blokes who have to sustain a lob on, and then compare the size of their hamptons with the size of the fast cars?
Do you think this might work?0 -
If the drivers think it will help then it could be a good idea. What role would they play in darts?seth plum said:Just a bit of blue sky thinking, but how about in F1 you have naked blokes who have to sustain a lob on, and then compare the size of their hamptons with the size of the fast cars?

Instead of throwing darts at the target, you could have throwing dartboards at the hamptons, and the winner is the bloke who can spin the board like a plate for the longest time. Assistants could be allowed to go round shaking the hamptons whenever the boards look like toppling off.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:

Why are you lumping this in with the sex industry? I genuinely don't know any bloke who would get off on seeing pit girls etc. in the same way they would from watching porn. Personally speaking, I can stand strippers, for example, and find it embarrassing to the point I stopped using The Horse when he got em in on a Friday afternoon.Friend Or Defoe said:Some belting comments, mainly from people who claim not to care. The Sex industry isn't closing down, if you're into that and which red blooded male isn't? There's places for it. Female pornstars earn more than men btw and do less work! Funny enough if you ask pornstars if they enjoy their job they'll say yes as well, who is claiming they don't? Watching 2 people, especially females, beat each other from piller to post followed by people wolf whistling at women with their arses hanging out waving cards is pretty creepy. Darts with the dresses and sashes and that formula one lady posted above I don't see the issue with. Introducing ring men could be an alternative route to inequality of so many people aren't please with this.
My problem with this decision is that it's taking the decision away from those who are involved imo. If they were struggling to find women to do it, then I could understand it, but they obviously ain't. Women, and men, who are used in promotional work are always good looking, fit people. Are they all being objectified?3 - Sponsored links:

I think it's ridiculous. I know the world moves on, we develop, attitudes change. But this is ridiculous.
I mean, here's a few important points:
1. No-one FORCES them to do it
2. They LOVE what they're doing and, frankly, if they weren't doing it, they would just be at home and miserable
3. They get PAID for it
4. What ELSE can they do to earn money?
5. We should STOP telling them what they can and can't do
6. No-one has ASKED them whether they want to carry on doing it
7. How ELSE are we going to be able to keep the chimneys clean?
Why can't these children - who aren't doing anyone any harm - be allowed to carry on doing what they're good at? It's PC gone mad. That's about the level of the argument, isn't it?7 -
