We won today, can't you just enjoy it?
We've had a shit few years. We've been divided as a fan base and had to endure a lot.
Do I think RD is right for the club in the long run, based on past behaviour, no. Do I judge anyone for staying away or continuing to go, no. We need to try and start to pull together as best we can under the current set up11 -

Short memories, we won 1 nil yes, with 10 men for most if the game yes
Bristol Rovers were crap though, one swallow don't make a summer. Whilst our first choice 11 is title winning quality our owners have different views to us commoners as to what works and how football clubs should be run.
I still want the owners gone regardless of how pleased I am we didn't get humiliated today. Me and my mates who have had the same spots in the same row for the last decade aren't there week in week out for a good reason and it's not a decision any of us have taken lightly.
When the ground is empty and the squad is bereft in a couple of months time we can say "we will always have Bristol Rovers at home"20 -

Yes it is. I can recommend the Holiday Inn on the Hoe.AddickUpNorth said:WhenIwasLittleBoy said:Roll on Plymouth next week

I Was looking forward to going after a 2 season self imposed home boycott and I wasn't disappointed, even the early sending off didn't spoil it. Robinson understands the off field stuff and recognises the problems between the fans and the owners and is working hard to make sure despite this we have a group of players and coaching staff who give us something to be proud of. It wasnt the biggest crowd but it was great to be in a happy Valley with a good positive atmosphere. The players gave it their all and it was a good day capped of with the crossbar challenge.
i think some people would prefer to have a poor foreign coach with players forced on the manager from the network and the couch in the corner just to keep moaning and moaning. Give it a rest like it or not things have changed and things are improving for the better.
I for one along with my 22 year old son will be back on the 19th for the Northampton game
Thanks Karl I like what you a have done and are doing

With a couple of exceptions, everyone has applauded yesterday.AddickedAthletic said:I Was looking forward to going after a 2 season self imposed home boycott and I wasn't disappointed, even the early sending off didn't spoil it. Not exactly, but there are some for whom self-identifying victimhood, feeling disgusted/abused/insulted and made to feel 'depressed' by an absent septuagenarian and his sidekick is meat and drink to them.AddicksAddict said:

Great effort from the team yesterday. And the crossbar man.

Have to say after completely boycotting last year, I'm wondering if I can make it through this season without going. It would be lovely to go to the valley and see some decent football*, and boy do I miss being there - so does my youngest.
Won't be going back for a season ticket for a while though....
* Ever the eternal optimist...2 -
No, but it's perfect with somebody else's.AddickUpNorth said:WhenIwasLittleBoy said:Roll on Plymouth next week

I'm still won't go to The Valley, but it's nice to hear some positivity about the team. Gonna have to look at the away calendar.15

The majority of Charlton fans have DEMONSTRATED to Duchetalet and Miere that we are not prepared to be mugged off with the mediocre. IF they keep their noses out of team affairs and let Robbo/Jackson/Bowyer get on with it I think life is too short to not take our boys to grow up at the Valley.iainambler said:Have to say after completely boycotting last year, I'm wondering if I can make it through this season without going. Beating Bristol rovers isn't the groundbreaking second coming, it should be a gimmie if we're serious title contenders, I don't think we are but think we played well from what I heard, the infighting continues but I do find it a tad hypocritical when people on here go to the matches yet demand he sells, a clubs fans are what makes it, you take them away you don't have a good club.3

But I'll be there next Saturday 17 hour round trip, coya0
