It looks as though my initial comments have stirred talk of the owner somehow selling up and moving on this week. As anyone with any idea about football would know a takeover this close to the end of the window is not favourable to either the new buyer , nor Roland himself , whom I expect to fully excercise the term firesale in January. Although that has put a dampener on it I will reveal more on what I definitely know.
Firstly , there are not one, but TWO offers that have been placed on the table of Roland.
One matches his asking price ( which seems quite frankly stupid to me) and the other , although falling around 6 million short, contains some very familiar faces ( not to be confused with the familiar face coming in on a transfer within the week.)
Summarising all of this, I'd feel offer 2 would be one that would definitely represent a new era of stability for the club without much potential growth beyond the championship.
Offer one on the other hand, although once again linking to foreign investment , seems rather exciting for the club should it progress as expected.
Just a question , we've never had an owner in the Forbes rich list before have we?

That level of specificity surrounding potential pricing is what to me says nonsense. I've been a part of various M&A activities and it's very rare that concrete prices are thrown around for everyone to see, and at times they're not even included until further down the road (plus the pricing and structuring of deals can be very complex). Given how Roland runs the club, a takeover would be an incredibly insular process, so this bloke would have to know someone in Roland's (pressumably small) inner circle. We don't even know who does our scouting FFS. I know that in a business sense football and football clubs are much dumber than most things, but still, I cannot imagine someone having that level of detail.

Hang on a minute, here. I exposed the 'Mark S' poster as a crock, so bear with me. I believe the conversation between the cab owner and Rio Fedinand a while ago was reported 100% accurately. In fact he mentioned it privately the following morning and it was me that posted it, with his OK as I thought people would be interested. So before taking the piss out of him, or what he said, be aware that it actually happened. Whether Rio was on a wind up is a whole different story but my pal is as honest as the day is long.

I've absolutely no doubts that the Rio conversation was reported accurately and in good faith. I certainly didn't intend to mock the person for reporting it. I do have strong doubts that Rio would have any useful knowledge at all though and think it's far more likely that he's made a throwaway remark either as a groundless call for optimism or, perhaps more likely, as a gentle wind-up. Apologies if I've upset you or your friend.

Rio must still be in touch with becks. I reckon it's him buying us. Be quality that.
