    I am not @paulie8290 's biggest fan, i've been a right cunt to him in the past in fact.

    Insulting his partner, who you know nothing about is getting a bit much, even if the comments do seem funny at first. For those that wanted it clarified, he has now confirmed that they have been together a long time and it is a woman (I hinted on the Argument Alert thread that I remembered him mentioning her before).

    Of course he's going to defend her.

    Apologies Paulie, this next one may sound like a dig but I promise it's not meant that way.

    Someone insinuated/questioned if his girlfriend was a minger? What right do you have to ask that? Of course he's not going to see her that way. He cares about her, he is attracted to her and probably loves her.

    I don't entirely blame Paulie for not seeing it as a question and instead seeing it as an insult, no he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, looking at how many jumped in with insulting remarks, neither are many of us (I admit it, I'm no Einstein and I've admitted I've been a prick to him before)


    You say he makes it so easy but I question whether it's more a case of you find it easy to bully instead?

    Think about how this banter makes him feel? It won't be nice. It won't make him confident.
    It won't make him happy.

    It's the kind of stuff that is unacceptable. I've been guilty of it too, but lately a lot of reflection has taken place, especially with regards to Mental Health and it has changed my view a bit.

    I'm not going to say I didn't laugh at some of the comments, I did but then as I read on and saw people continuing despite the fact Paulie was getting genuinely offended I felt bad.

    So anyway rip into him for his highlights reel, me for the old golden slug award, Nathan Prior for his garden centre interview, but please don't dig at people's loved one's that's a line that shouldn't be crossed even if you think it's only in jest.

    He knows people are wound up on here about the actions of the stewards - so he comes up with a feeble story designed to praise the stewards and wind people up.

    He knows there is a call for boycotting season tickets - he comes up with a feeble story to mention how he is going to buy season tickets next season.

    He knew what he was posting and the reaction it would generate.

    I would hardly consider anything on here bullying a bit childish but not bullying, people could call my girlfreind a minger if they wanted to but there sat behind a keyboard so wouldnt really be that fussed.

    For the record, I didn't call his gf a minger - I asked him whether she was as a result of his refusal to show us a picture...that, and him referring to us all as twats.

    Nothing on here was said that you wouldn't say sat round a table in a pub - a little teasing over the repetition of 'I have a bird now'

    The below the belt stuff started with "fuck you, just because you are probably dating a fucking Jeremy kyle reject"

    Which in it's self is a bit odd, as he seems proud that his missus wasn't rejected from Jeremy Kyle, and therefore must have been accepted :smiley:
