  • From watching second half on the stream, we looked pretty comfortable - I felt confident we would hold on, apart from when George missed the sitter - was expecting them to go straight up the other end and equalise, but fortunately they didn't. A really solid-looking team performance. Fewest defeats in the Championship...just what we need going into the next game?

Special mention for our fans who came across loud and clear and constant on the stream - great support.

And what a difference Igor makes...

Blinding result, didn't fancy us today.

Crazy the team who has lost the least this far into the season isn't even in top 7.

Look forward to hearing from those there or who watched it

Just back on the train. Great defensive display, can only remember Henderson making one save. Igor looked a threat all the while he was on. Shame George didn't finish it off at the end. Very impressed with Coquelin and think he'll be starting soon.

If we can add that elusive striker I think we could be genuine play off contenders. We are so tough to break down.

Day topped off by a 5 fold accie which will pay for the day.

Great atmosphere in the second half. Under the cosh in the second half, as you would expect, but not overly troubled. Great heart from the players, plus Solly excellent.
    1450 Charlton there.

Worringly, he was limping slightly. Although I do think it might have been a plan to take him off after an hour.

Fantastic win. I watched it on a jumpy stream and to be honest we looked quite comfortable after we scored. soaked up the pressure and tried to hit them on the break. perfect away performance. The Charlton fans were fantastic. Non stop singing.
  • Watched second half on the stream. We appeared very well organised and difficult to break down. Although Reading had a greater share of the posession, they never really looked like scoring. Having said that Henderson made a great save and looked assured at claiming the ball from the plethora of corners that the home team racked up. Fox played better than I expected, having watched him play at the end of last season, good lad. Tucudean should have scored from the Gudmundsson lay off, and like another poster I was concerned that they would go down to our end and score, but they didn't. Great professional foul from Jacko late on in the game. Centre half pairing was immense, I love the way that Ben Haim and Bikey slap hands when they make a block, tackle or header, shows a real passion in the squad. Great to go into the international break with a win and some of our injury concerns clearing up.
  • On the train home. For all there pressure never felt that we were not in control. Apart from the one quality save henderson made that was only real chance they had. Fans were brilliant non stop in the 2nd half back 4 were outstanding

Crazy the team who has lost the least this far into the season isn't even in top 7.

Instead of 6 wins and 9 draws, had we turned 3 of those draws into wins - won 9 and drawn 6, we'd now be top of the division.

    Fine margins indeed.

  • Solid performance. Only going to be one winner today. Reading huffed and puffed a lot but charlton looked assured when tackling or on the ball. Reading only had a plan A in the first half and solly put paid to that by putting their number 11 in his back pocket. The bikey show in the second half would have been stopped by a boxing referee, it was so one sided when they attacked and ran unto a brick wall called beast. Top captains performance by jackson today, foul fie booking was icing on the cake. disjointed performance by the charlton fans today, timing seemed to be totally off and there seemed to the sane chant going with a half a second delay between different sections...

A great 3 points going into the break!! Sounds as though the traveling support was the best yet. Reading have been scoring in bucketloads at home so a clean sheet today is massive! Solly the man of the match as he didn't give an inch the entire game. Ecstatic to see Igor score another, certainly a man I'm glad we have locked up long term. Millwall next up and we go into it on a high note. Great win today!!!

Coming in on the Acca and winning, well done mate. Let's have it!!!!!!
  • We are class side, no doubt about it. The wins will follow as we continue to play mid-table sides.
My first trip to the Madejski - simply had to be there as the whole season rests on this month...On today after two draws.
All the doubts and worries about FFP vaporise in the knowledge we can and we will secure vital wins against bottom half teams.
Two more quality players in January and we will be flying.
On the playing side the defense was solid again...Bikey rules...and Solly was back to his best.
Gudmundsson looking good too and liked the look of Coquelin.
Tucudean, Harriott do their bit but they are on borrowed time once the chequebook comes out.
Millwall game is going to be good as we find ourselves back in the top six in a fortnight :)

Anyone know where 27 points would have seen us at this stage last season? Seems unusually tight, but then I wasn't looking too much at the top half back then...
  • Watched a jumpy stream second half prolly got 25 mins or so of it ,
On what i saw and heard
Henderson top top top draw save that was heading for the postage stamp
A very impressive Coq spraying it all over the pitch (ok i'm being a DaveMehmet)
thought Readings pressure was down our weaker left flank but the men in the middle were there to cover for any inefficiences
and constant loud noise from, i presume, our fans , brilliant support ....what were they singing that went on for ages ...... quality not quantity is what it's all about !!

so flicked up by that result , never saw that coming and the failure of the scum 9 points in between us now , so they can't go above us when we play them in two weeks

simply amazing for 5 minutes after that match finished i felt as optimistic as seriously red , it's a nice feeling i tell you !

    0.1 % top two ......... 5.9 % 3rd-6th .........54% 7th-12th ......40% 13th-21st...... 0% Relegation

Excellent away win and thoroughly deserved. They had more possession but we controlled the game. Defence superb yet again, Solly top class and in Igor we have the quality to win tight games. Shame we couldn`t wrap it up late on with a 2nd goal but this was the performance of a team that is challenging for a play-off place(at least)!

Well done to all who travelled. Support was immense apparently. Always great to get a win before intl break.

Seems like we're starting to live up to the general consensus. Our first XI, we can match anyone, it is injuries, especially to 2/3 key players we struggle.

Massively happy with everything this season

Well, that's my second away match of the season and we've won both of them 1-0 (Norwich the other). I really must start going away more often!

Great win. Despite their possession they never seriously threatened and we were well worth the 3 points. Solly was excellent, the other defenders including Morgan Fox, all very good. Yoni a bit off the pace first half but improved after the break. Coq looked good when he came on. If George had taken that easy chance near the end it would have been justice for our performance.

Charlton fans exemplary. Minute's silence for remembrance day immaculately observed before the match and then got behind the boys from the start - loudest I can remember in the second half when we completely drowned out the Reading fans.

Good day, despite the torrential rain.

They were top, and then almost done a millwall in '96.
