Club Cock Up

Have received my season ticket application today from the club - it has been sent to my address but with the details of somebody else prepopulated on the application form. It has the name, date of birth and home and mobile numbers of somedody else preprinted. Apart from being amateurish, are there data protection issues with this ?

I receieved a valley gold booklet in the post today (didn't open it) which had my address but somebody else's name. Ian something.

I'm not sure its a data protection issue as there is no 'sensitive' information.

Mine is wrong name and details. Also seen others have mentioned it on Twitter. I thought the same about data protection. By coincidence a mate has received the one with my name.

I had this as well, I got mine, my mate's and some random person I have never heard of. I used to have a ST with 2 friends and my brother, one of my friends didn't know his postcode (recently moved) so I put my address down when booking the ST, so I always get his CAFC promo stuff but this time I didn't get it and got the other guys stuff. So I have no idea where my brother's letter is or the friend who's stuff I usually get

Sorry if I'm repeating myself but I received 3 identical letters telling me about the Crossbars/North Upper arrangement.

{Though, to be honest, I'd rather receive 3 than none}.

Data needs careful handling...this lot aren't capable of that. Probably getting it on the cheap somewhere...

Maybe we should all spam everyone's phone numbers and email addresses by signing them up for PPI insurance, porn and Palace Memberships. Then we can all sue Roland for causing undue stress and harassment.
  • Breach of data protection. We can claim compo apparently

    Totally agree.
I got an e-mail addressed to my ex [Sandra], who left in April 2012, last December (2013), with all her details of new address, phone, etc. She's had never used a computer in her life, as far as I know, but I think because we both had S/T at this address they was "assumed" we'd be on the same e-mail address.
I seriously deleted it straight away, sent CAFC an e-mail explaining and have had nothing sent to her here since.
The fact is CAFC ARE giving other people peoples details and that cannot be right.
