Mark Baggesen ....... if you're reading this, I received your Season Ticket application form this morning.

Now I know your date of birth, mobile number and email address.

Did it have his Nigerian Bank Account details too?
  • Same thing with my renewal pack. I got two which were correct, and a third showing my address, but with someone else's name on it. I have spoken to my solicitor with regard to starting divorce proceedings, and hired a private investigator to find out who's been eating my porridge.

As if people didn't have enough to moan about

Data needs careful handling...this lot aren't capable of that. Probably getting it on the cheap somewhere...

    Totally agree.
I got an e-mail addressed to my ex [Sandra], who left in April 2012, last December (2013), with all her details of new address, phone, etc. She's had never used a computer in her life, as far as I know, but I think because we both had S/T at this address they was "assumed" we'd be on the same e-mail address.
I seriously deleted it straight away, sent CAFC an e-mail explaining and have had nothing sent to her here since.
The fact is CAFC ARE giving other people peoples details and that cannot be right.

Can we nick her van ?

    Got one too.

Clearly an attempt to distract -- surely not a coincidence that it happens the same time day Powell gets sacked?

So the lesson is, don't expect your actual season tickets to arrive if you renew.

I've got one addressed to Ivor Bailey. My address but not my mobile or email address. Ivor's CON number is one number out from mine. That may just be coincidence. Ivor. If you're on here mate I'll shred it and tell the club that they have screwed up when next I call them.

Expect to pay for somebody else to watch us in League One! Is this another of Roland's brilliant ideas?

Who ever gets mine, could you please pay for me to have the crossbar extra please. I know I would get back into next season, and to think i was complaining about having to pay the extra, now I dont have to, it seems a brilliat deal :-) Cheers Roland and whoever is going to pay mine.

Joking aside, this is a data protection issue. Someone's name and address and personal details are protected data and the club holds them for the purpose for which they were obtained, i.e. watching football with a season ticket. Sending that data out to someone else because you've ***ed up the mailout is an offence and if anyone affected complains, the club could be fined.
Just because people are often casual about their personal data doesn't mean anyone who holds that data can be. This is the sort of thing that councils/govt departments sometimes do and get fined for.
