Who do you want to manage Charlton if its not Powell?

Don't think Malky would take the job, Steve Clarke would be more likely as he has less experience but still can't see it.
I think Warnock would motivate the squad to safety and wouldn't be opposed to it.1 -
Can I have some of what you've been on?The Red Robin said:In no way am I saying Powell should go but if he did my list would be:
1.Curbs
2.Mackay
3. Steven Pressley (working wonders at Coventry with good, local and young players from the academy)
4.Steve Clarke
5. Neil Warnock (only as an impact manager, not long-term.)
In a dream world: Pochettino or someone with a similar footballing philosophy, I.e. Press high, dominate possession, defend, hassle the opposition, score goals!1 -
have you read the players marks? they were the highest ones!MyLeftFoot said:It doesn't matter, whoever it is won't really be in charge, that today was not Powell's team, funny that the sub standard 3 were all awful

Thuram barely had to do anything, Astrit was our mom! Reza was no better than Sordell thoughMyLeftFoot said:It doesn't matter, whoever it is won't really be in charge, that today was not Powell's team, funny that the sub standard 3 were all awful

Good grief, I was watching something else, that Reza seemed to fall over when anyone coughed near him, and that was about it. The midfielder seemed unable to pass 5 yards. That said only Cousins and Poyet can really say they did anything worth thinking aboutAdamAddick said:

Paulo til the end of the season2

If we had Neil warnock in charge I would find it very hard to attend games. Can't think of a manager I dislike more.2

It will be someone none of us have ever heard of4

Want someone who cares about the club if Powell goes (which would be disastrous), but I can't think of anyone really. Curbs is a panic hire, but better than any of the mercenaries out there0

I may not agree with loaning them in but they were not awful and were better than Church, Sordell, Jackson, Evina and Green.MyLeftFoot said:It doesn't matter, whoever it is won't really be in charge, that today was not Powell's team, funny that the sub standard 3 were all awful

As I said, dream world! Pressley would be my long-term choice.MyLeftFoot said:

Avram Grant

IF SCP did go (and I mean IF), and bearing in mind that the likes of Malky Mackay would very likely not want to come here, Keith Peacock until the end of the season might not be the silliest idea. Don't think there would be much nonsense with him in charge.1

I posted a topic exactly as to why we DON'T need someone with a connection to the club.Tiresais said:Want someone who cares about the club if Powell goes (which would be disastrous), but I can't think of anyone really. Curbs is a panic hire, but better than any of the mercenaries out there

Sack Powell yesWSS said:I'd like Curbs because it would anger the Powell Out crowd even more.
(They're the same people)
(I'm not in an 'in' or 'out' crowd)
Curbs back everyday of the week. I do not know anyone who still wants Powell to stay but everyone I know would love to have Curbs back ain't going to though.0 -
In answer to the question... Anybody who can organise a side, set out a pattern of play and make a difference on match days1

To answer the question:
No one anyone here recommends because everyone here is mental.-2 -

Would prefer Dyer and Matthews to go. However if Chris does get the sack I doubt RD will appoint a British manager.1

Not sure - Seriously worried now about CP's selections & his substitutions are now to be dreaded. You can set your watch by a goal(s) being scored against us within four mins of changes being made.
He really needs to develop in theses areas and quickly. His subs have cost us 2-4 point this week alone.
