Wembley pubs

Just realised it’s a 13:00 ko.
Any ideas for best pubs on the way to the ground?

Just been told by a local that the pubs are now segregated. Not sure where to find a list of Charlton ones, but there aren't many boozers in Wembley full stop. I believe the Green Man is fully booked.

2019 we used Fox & Goose in Alperton, two miles away, ubered to game and walked after game by back alleys. Big hotel, not too busy. Doubt it wont be open to both, nor have issues with colours.

Not been in there for years but Heather Park Tavern used to be a decent drinking hole, and a short walk to game but off the beaten track. Check the restrictions though.

Black Horse between Sudbury Hill ( tube or overland, 3/4m walk or bus) and Sudbury Town  is very nice, but need bus (3m) or cab to stadium.
  • The Charlton fanzone at the stadium was decent last time, very easy to get a beer

We were given specific pubs in 2019, I went to JJ Moons. Not sure they've announced anything yet.

That might be a good shout. Realistically, unless you want to be in a pub for 10am or something, I’m not sure how much sense it makes going to a pub pre-match when it’s a 1pm kick off at Wembley.
  • Green man is ours. Last time we got green man + boxpark. Nothing on the boxpark site yet. Last time boxpark was decent. Relatively easy to get a drink, lots of food choice + good atmosphere.

As we have sold a lot more tickets than Leyton already, I would assume we also get boxpark.

I think Boxpark will be Orients
  • They divide all the pubs around Wembley into 2 sets every time for every game. Green Man, box park and others are in 1 set for our side of the ground, as we had last time and will have this time.

We had the Wetherspoons in 2019 too.
  • The Corner House was pretty good in 2019, mainly Charlton and a few locals.
  • As above, I would be amazed if we did not get assigned the same as last time as thats just how they do it.  Who’s on the jaegerbombs at 10am?

I'm on a 7am flight over and plan to start as I mean to go on. Straight from Heathrow to Wembley and take it from there... fan zone and green man were brilliant last time out and box park after

Went in there after the game....there's a place called the Liquor Station close by to the Spoons....not sure what it's like though.....both handy for Wembley Central station.

    Even in the Charlton pubs?

I might try meeting an Orient mate beforehand for a drink (Better before than after). Any suggestions for a pint in a neutral location?

    Charing Cross.
  • Given the time... I'm thinking more about post match than pre match drinks....
  • Cheers, might be too tricky with 1pm kick off.

The Metropolitan at Baker Street station?
  • Read that box park tickets sold out for Sheffield United fans in 10mins.
Imagine it would be very similar scenario if we get allocated it with tickets selling out immediately.
  • Other than boxpark how many of our pubs offer or require booking and, if so, where can they be booked?

    TIA

None. I think that is the only one. If in a large group and wanting guaranteed seats/tables etc probably worth giving places a call in the week, after Brent Council confirm the pub split, and seeing if they can accommodate your group.
  • Last time, we made the train our pub. More of the same I suspect.

  • Proper Charlton!

Re: Boxpark. They made us take a flag down in there. No idea what people see in it.
