Neither, online only for now. There is a phase from 11am on Thursday for in person purchases but even if we get given more it's hard to see them lasting that long without us being given a huge amountmistrollingin62 said:Can anyone tell me if and when tickets go on general sale, can they be bought at the Valley or is it all over the phone?Confused from Bexley

Phase 7 - Thursday, May 22nd from 11am until 5pm: Any remaining tickets will go on sale in-person for one day only for fans that may need extra support in purchasing tickets. (e-tickets, booking fees still apply) Charlton Athletic cannot guarantee it will have tickets available at this time.
Saturday, May, 24th @ 11am: Tickets go off sale.

I pretty much figured, but I live in hope...bobmunro said:ArmchairAddick said:I'm hoping if they release any new "better" seats people who already purchased get the option to upgrade first?
The chances of that happening equate approximately to the square root of f*ck all.
The nosebleed seats weren't very expensive, so might be tempted to shell out again0 -

who has estimated the number? I certainly haven't, but I don't deny suggesting there were some. Above I asked 'how many' and then there was the comment about 'the conspiracy theory getting out of control'. I certainly can't have over-estimated if I didn't know and had to ask!The Red Robin said:
No one said it isn’t true. What was said is that people are overestimating the number of non-Charlton fans interested.arny23394 said:
Is it really a conspiracy theory? It’s a good day out and an excuse for a piss up with your friends - that’s why teams like Wycombe who get about 109 fans at home games take 25,000 to Wembley. Anecdotal, but in the group of 14 I was in for the 2019, only 4 were Charlton fans. The Red Robin said:

well done! I have similar when I'm at work, but without such a long walk. But I'm WFH and didn't get anyThrappersAddick said:Close call...I work in prisons, so managed to bring a meeting forward to 1, rushed the governor through the meeting, got back to the manager's office to get in the queue. All good, like 214 in the queue, and got into the site quite quickly. Got the tickets bagged, went to pay.
Bloody one time passcode needed.
Mobiles aren't allowed in prison, so queue the panic, and a manic fast walk (not allowed to run in prison either) from the furthest point from the main gate as I could possibly be, an a jog all the way round to the back of the prison to my car, get the code, call the office where a colleague was waiting for the code. I'm knackered, sweating and not looking good but happy and totally worth it!!! See you Sunday! Whoop whoop!!
Started waiting early but ended up only 2100 in the queue, which scuppered me
How many non Charlton fans have tickets whilst long-term regulars don't?
This conspiracy theory is getting out of control1 -

If the new owners ever needed any reassurance about our potential, this is the answer.
Great job everyone.24 -
Hopefully online for those who don't live locally and/or have to work - I've missed enough work time today!Valiantphil said:

Precisely why I said IF….theres a lot riding on SundayChris_from_Sidcup said:
This is why i love football.Elthamaddick said:Absolutely staggering support if I’m honest to not even make general sale. I thought we’d sell out but not quite like this
We'd sell another 10k no problem I believe as the demand is there. This club is back and IF we do win on Sunday they need to capitalise on this….plenty of 20k+ crowds next season
shows me that if we did have real success we’d probably let now need a bigger ground
We haven't even won yet and you're already thinking of further success and a ground expansion.
Meanwhile if we lose, we'll be back to a 10k home crowd v Burton and taking 350 to Stockport on a Tuesday night.1 -
Yep, just need every match to be a Wembley cup final and those average attendances will really increase!Bolderhumphreyreid said:If the new owners ever needed any reassurance about our potential, this is the answer.

I know of one Chelsea fan who was gloating in my local on Saturday. If someone wants to start a tally ...........PrincessFiona said:

Mate who knows an Orient fan just got in touch to say that he thinks that they are not close to selling their allocation and that whole blocks are likely to be released back.
Let's hope so.6 -
A mate phoned Orient about being able to buy tickets on General Sale tomorrow. The person said they’ll only be on sale to members and they’re not taking applications for new memberships until after the play offs. So, I reckon, whatever they’ve sold up until today will largely be it for them give or take a few 1000’s. Only people on its database can purchase.6

Correct. Phase 7 between 11am and 5pm. IF any left.Valiantphil said:

This is such a load of bollocks btw.arny23394 said:
No they won’t because 99% of those people will be fans of other football teams.redbuttle said:
Yes and those people might enjoy the day and become new fans.arny23394 said:Pisstake that genuine Charlton fans won’t be able to get a ticket when about half our allocation will be going to friends of Charlton fans that fancy a day out
It was the same for the previous two finals, lots of tickets sold for people who were not Charlton fans. How do you know this?
In the group I was in, plus hearing of other stories.

Just wondering where we currently are on the "Rothko Scale"? Should people be getting into a bit of a panic now?Off_it said:
So your "I'm only buying 3 out of 12, so don't panic" has changed to "my 3 might become 5" within 11 minutes.Rothko said:
I’m waiting on someone at work, and my lads football team to see if that 3 increases, if it doesn’t ill ping ya over the weekendMasterbrew said:
What level does your take up out of 12 need to reach before people should start getting a little bit sweaty? Just so we know.

will probably work out which one he is quite easily...5
