Wembley tickets - 39k officially SOLD OUT (p109)

Is it 2pm yet? How long do you season ticket holders need!6

Seems to have been a bit of a car crash…went online yesterday at 5pm, two season tickets, 620 loyalty points, were those in the top tier which I wasn’t expecting the number sold by 5pm, which was my fault. The club art not going to make everyone happy and was always going to be open to criticism regardless.
It is a given that there will be day trippers of those who have got tickets, ie neighbours, work colleagues, friends and family whom don’t support the club.
Dare I say it that fans may not be totally computer literate, or have access to the internet yesterday, find themselves with a task of taking seats in the top tier or sadly miss out.
The Orient ticket office was open, to sell their allocation, but we elected to sell online only. It maybe would have been ideally to have two per season ticket holder, scrap all the Valley Good allocation, do a sliding scale on number of loyalty points, and then general sale, which by that time the majority of fans would have got their tickets.
As I said earlier the club are always going to be dammed, and have underestimated the demand meaning there are genuine fans or those that have been previously will either miss out or have no choice where to sit.
The remaining seats will be sold today.
Orient sales are not going well, this is probably the floating fans in that area who either support Tottenham, West Ham or Arsenal are either at home next weekend or have played in European cup final, meaning there is a chance of getting more tickets.
One more clean sheet and sniffer dog goal on Sunday please.
Up the Charlton.2 -
I’m assuming in absolute terms not a huge number more will go in the next 2 phases as likely those are not large groups and may have already been accommodated by others purchasing on their behalf?
Perhaps wishful thinking…0 -

With that said, I'm sure we'll all be sorted... just a shame for good seats to go to random.

I know a VG-only fan although that person’s ticket was sorted yesterday, there will be plenty more VG-only out there but agree the uptake today shouldn’t be huge.3 -

Up the Charlton. They haven't even had the chance to get tickets yet, as VG opportunity to buy is today at 2pm.This is actually the one match since the inception of Valley Gold where removing priority for Valley Gold makes the least sense. We’re going to have more tickets than we need, so what’s the harm in letting Valley Gold members have a priority window after season ticket holders have had their window?I actually think the club have come up with a sales plan that is pretty fair for this one. The four tickets per season ticket holder thing feels a bit much, but the truth is without day trippers we wouldn’t sell our allocation.14 -
Scoham said:I was going to wait for the general sale but found a work around. I’ve bought 4 u11 season tickets for next season, which has meant I’ve been able to buy 48 tickets for Wembley in the hardcore singing section. Once you get the tickets you can cancel the season tickets and get a refund for them.
Looking forward to it, we’ve got 7 Charlton fans, 5 of which who haven’t been since the Prem days and most don’t know any of the current players. Some of their other halves and kids are also coming along - not all football fans but they said they’re up for the drinks beforehand and the football should be an experience. Got some Millwall, Palace, Leicester and Man Utd mates too. Rest are for a few blokes from work and their friends of friends. Some of the work mates weren’t sure but one of them convinced them it would be a fun day out in London and they could go to a museum and an art gallery in the morning.
Not sure what all the drama is about? How did this work mate?I’m overseas and really need to know if I can get tickets before Tuesday. My Dad is 80 and limited what sections can go in and also the cost of flights are going up massively (they charge more when it gets close).Do you need to login to the account with the Season Ticket / Linked account?I’ve just created a relationship for my daughter and bought her a season ticket. Logged in using her FanID but I am still ‘restricted’.Please help!0 -

Thanks @se9addick, that's made me calmer before 2pm.0

I don’t think the screenshot of ‘4’ tickets is useful. It shows blocks where there are 4 free tickets anywhere in the block (usually singles, sometimes doubles) NOT 4 sequential seats. There is still a lot of availability in the upper sections for seats located together. For international Addicks that need to book flights, see earlier posts on getting higher priority for valley pass purchases (you need to advise the club).5
-
Yeah that search function is bizarre, 4 together would make more sense !3
