@golfaddick it's very telling that you must have lots of family and friends that have season tickets and none of them have reached out to you to secure you a ticket?

I bought 2 tickets for my daughter as I am having surgery that day (timing sucks) but hoping she can get the the coach from sheerness as her train travel will be worrying, does anyone know when the Wembley Express tickets go on sale?
Valley express already on sale. https://booking.cafc.co.uk/en-GB/categories/Valley%20Away

There's always going to be day tripper at games like this. Chances are the same people who won't be happy about not getting a ticket to this, weren't there on those shit long away days on Tuesday nights and all the other shit days at home over the years.

I firmly believe anyone who truly wants to be there will be there unless they can't because of other commitments. There will be enough tickets.

If there isn't, I'm very wrong and we have more day trippers than I could have imagined.

That said, I hope everyone who wants to be there, that's Charlton and wants to be there, is there. I want the atmosphere to be class.
I was a Season Ticket holder for 20+ years... Stopped going two / three years ago now partly because of ULEZ, partly because of the overall hassle of getting to games.

Followed Charlton up and down the country in that time, and have no problem watching on TV if I cant get a ticket, as until yesterday I was more than happy to stay home, with no interest in attending. Now it feels ridiculous wanting to miss out on a trip to Wembley... and I acknowledge the fact that I gave up my "privilege" of having priority over getting tickets the day I gave up my Season Ticket.

So have no complaints if I'm unfortunate not to get a ticket (Although I do expect us to get a bigger allocation further into the week ahead) - However what'll piss me off, will be "fans" attending who don't give a shit about Charlton and are only attending because of like Shirty says... Its who you know.

Firstly this is not s moan as I know it's my fault that I'm not a ST holder & only having 185 loyalty points means that I cant purchase until Monday afternoon.

However, it does rankle that it appears that there will be thousands of "hangers on" (not my words- words of a pp earlier) who will have better seats than me.....or might even have a seat when I cant get one.....just because a ST holder can by 4 at a time.

I am tempted to buy a ST today for next season so that I could buy later today/ tomorrow but as I dont go so much nowdays I dont know whether its worth the cost. And I dont see why I should have to fork out almost £500 (AC Stand) just so I can purchase a Wembkey ticket.

And its not just me.....its for my son too. He hasn't a ST as he works for the club on matchdays. Imagine that.....the bloke who does the music on a matchday might not be able to go to Wembley because someone has bought tickets for their Uncle Tom Cobley who has never set foot inside the Valley.

    Something very wrong somewhere.
The irony is that under the description of “hangers-on” you include everyone but season ticket holders. You also don’t have a season ticket. So why are you a special case?

The only thing wrong is the way your brain is wired.

Your son could probably get you both comps if you asked.  They keep tickets back for staff for a reason.

And it's not as if you don't know any ST holders but rather than ask you've had a moan as per usual.
My eldest brother is using his 4 tickets for him & 3 friends (previous ST holders for years who now live abroad). My younger brother lives in France and not a ST holder. He will probably have to wait until they go on general sale although elder brother has this morning  been contacting ST holders he knows to try and source tickets for him.

For reference younger brother was at St Andrew's in 1987 so deserves one like anyone else.

Not that this is any concern of yours. You're just miffed that the museum will have to put on show a paper ticket this time.

    Almost sorted
Thought we were buying 12 with 3 season tickets, inc 1 wheelchair

However... apparently the helper/personal assistant ticket for wheelchair counted as a 13th....so...we've bought the other 12 and asked for help holding the PA ticket via the email address the club gave.

I can see the seat is still available....

Interested to see if anybody is able to buy the seat as a standalone adult ticket. Please DM me if you are a ST holders who hadn't used their full allocation and wants to help us see what happens when you try to buy that seat

(Edit: a friendly lifer has helped us confirm that only diabled/wheelchair ST holders are currently able to see the wheelchair and PA/helper tickets.

Any such lifer with any allocation left, DM me if you want to help us secure it! Thanks)

For what it's worth I do believe you should be a legacy fan.

It's unfair to me that someone could follow for as you say 20 years and due to circumstances may have to avoid for a while, like a move. They lose everything in less than 3 years.

I think the window should be higher, or, there should be a 'decay' system, not a complete wipe.

I know your circumstance as I've had to move a few times over the years and been inconsistent. It's only the last 5-6 years I've been able to consistently go. Work and living away made me a irregular attender from around 2009-13.

I'm gonna be honest, there will be fans going who haven't gone to a Charlton game full stop, just how it is

I’m not being funny but 1800 tickets for Wycombe got to Phase 4 or 5.

My Dad and I have been to over a thousand CAFC games easily between us and at this rate we won’t get tickets at 2pm tomorrow. As Golfie said, 4 tickets per season ticket holder is an absolute outrage. It’s simply not fair.

With a 39,000 allocation my Dad and I should easily be able to get tickets! Every Charlton fan should be able to!

I do make you right on this part. Anyone involved in the club in employment capacity should get a look at tickets
Hopefully more than just get to look at one

I purchased 11 tickets but 8 of us are season ticket holders, so not all season ticket holders will being buying 4 tickets. There will be enough seats to go round.

Airman mentioned we may get around 52k, guess it depends how many West Ham fans pick up tickets when the Leyton Orient allocation goes on General Sale, as Brisbane Road only takes 9k

    Predictably fucking shambolic
We get 6 season tickets in the Vice President's Suite but we only get one fan ID with that and we get no loyalty points.
So I've just spent an hour getting 4  fairly crap seatsfor my wife, daughter and her two friends. (none of the good seats are available)
But then I was trying to get 12 for a friend and his mates who are all regulars but can't commit to a season ticket.  But it won't let me buy any more because my allocation of 4 is taken up.
    i can't speak to a human
I can't buy the box for the rest of my family because Wembley are too busy to respond.
This is way more stressful than it really needs to be.
    Just take my fucking money!

My sister is having the same problem trying to secure tickets for me. I know her season tickets are circ £4K each but noone at the club is respondong to her requests for help. Poor show and very dissapointing given the financial support she has shown the club over the years.

Anyone know if you can call the box office or only buy online?

My Dad (ST holder) is computer illiterate, still gets his tickets the old fashioned ways of post, phone, ticket office etc.

I'm Stage 4 I think so can't get tickets until Monday whereas he could today, but doesn't use the website etc....

With 8000 season tickets holders it is simply not possible to sell out 35k seats and most will not buy 4 each. We bought 4 tickets out of a potential 8

    Our website says online only.

Also: Phase 7 - Thursday, May 22nd from 11am until 5pm: Any remaining tickets will go on sale in-person for one day only for fans that may need extra support in purchasing tickets.

Agree, I and my two sons have 700 loyalty points each as season ticket holders and regular away travellers having been to fleetwood, Carlisle etc over the last couple of dreadful seasons and only missed the mid week aways this year due to school/work. I logged in at 3pm when I was eligible only to find that I could only get tickets together in level 5 for us and my dad and one who is a season ticket holder and one friend. This didn’t happen in 2019 when we had really good seats.
I get that I wasn’t one of the 134 super fans but still find this disappointing and doesn’t reward my loyalty. Will be pretty peed off if more tickets are allocated to Charlton and they are better than the ones I have.
