Jonesy needs to make sure we don't end up with a case of 'after the lord Mayors show' with Wrexham.
It's going to be a tough game. They're a physical side like we are.5 -
Mike Dodds made the point that he was never on the ropes ...13

Don't know how many times I've seen us go to Wycombe and get bullied. But we bullied them today. We were so dominant physically that they were onto the ref about every little thing. This is a very good team that can play all sides of the game.27

Can those that didn't see it, now see the player we have developing in Karoy. More improvements to come too.37

someone's said chuks travelled home on his own after the game, can anyone confirm?1

If I had to pick a side for Wrexham to play away, outside of us, I'd pick Lincoln on recent form. Then Stockport who Wycombe will play!5

A thumping win and a top performance. Two cracking finishes from Lloyd Jones and Luke Berry (channeling his inner Bobby Charlton) put us in control and Wycombe offered absolutely nothing in the first half. We did have a scare in the last few seconds when Lloyd sliced the ball and Gillesphey just managed to chest it wide.
What was particularly impressive was that we kept our foot very firmly on Wycombe's throat, rather than sitting back and running the risk of them pulling one back and making a game of it. 'Near Post' Norris gifted Matty Godden the third and Karoy Anderson's header from Small's fine inswinging cross was the icing on the cake.
The team was packed with good performances. Jones and Gillesphey were outstanding at the back, Docherty, Coventry and Anderson were excellent in midfield and Godden led the line with his usual quality. We have absolutely nothing to fear from Wrexham and are well capable of going there and winning. Wycombe also have two very difficult final games, away to Orient and at home to Stockport, so there is also a chance of us overhauling them. All to play for.13 - Sponsored links:

The good thing is I think everyone hates Wrexham, so if Lincoln have a chance to ruin the promotion party I'm sure they’ll be well up for it26

all been said, an immense, unstoppable win .. whoever we get in the play offs need to be VERY afraid .. best performance of this season and probably of a few recent ones as well .. 100/103

The good thing is that Nathan will not let up irrespective of automatics or play offs, he demands a lot and I'm sure the players will not feel deflated if they have to go on for another 3 games. Just look at where they've come from, its amazing to be in with a chance of promotion

I’m not sure Chuks even did anything to warrant a yellow. Absolutely bizarre but don’t see a head butting motion whatsoever. Don’t know how anyone can watch that video and say it’s a red card21

An incredible afternoon and wonderful win. As mentioned last week, had to book WW hospitality tix to get in as missed the boat in the away end. Our fans were absolutely magnificent start to finish, singing non-stop and in party atmosphere. Full of pride. We couldn’t clap, cheer or anything but did provide the WW fans around us a running commentary without giving away we were Charlton. For the first, ‘Wow, fair play, that’s a very skilful strike from their centre half’ to ‘proper sniffer dog that striker, but what the fcuk was Norris doing there’ for our third? Had quite a lot of fun with it but wish I had been amongst the singing, will be for Wrexham. As for the Chuks sending off, not in 1 Million years was it ever a sending off (we were sat parallel to the incident), if anything I would have cautioned their player for rushing his head into our Chuks’ upper body - the kamikaze c*ck womble! Can’t ask more of our players and management than serving up that sort of result against a top 2 side. Remain consistent whether autos or play offs, feeling more and more confident we are going up (at long last!).21

Jones was very good but I thought Gillesphey was fucking brilliant today! Man marked Kone out of the game! He didn’t even get a sniff!13

It’s no worse than the grappling my numerous players at a corner. It’s not a red.8

It's Wrexham's to lose, the pressure will be on them to see it over the line.1

I'm more and more impressed with Will Mannion. He looks a different keeper to the one that started the season for us and that keeper's shirt is his as long as he stays fit. A decent shot stopper, as shown with the only save he had to make today, but the way he controls the area, coming off his line to claim the ball, usually catching it, has been so important in our defensive impovement this season. Although his distribution could be better, I'm happy we didn't go for a new first choice keeper in the January window. AMB is fine as back-up but is it any coincidence that our worst run of the season happened when AMB was in goal? (Yes, I know Jones was missing at that time as well!)

IF he did travel home alone, it wouldnt be for proximity!!!1 -
Mannion has been absolutely faultless. Barely gets a mention on this forum because he doesn't make any mistakes.17

Harsh on Chuks. Player seems to run straight into him. Worth appealing?

Chuks Aneke shouldn't be the story tonight after a Clinical performance against Wycombe who had conceded 1 goal in 5 matches before the thrashing today; yes we should appeal as finally we saw Leahy run into Chuks after they appeared to be joined together for 12 seconds !
I understand why we made the three subs in the 78th minute but we were passing for fun and they were struggling but they had the ball back as suddenly the quality of the balls to Chuks and Hylton were in the air and they started having more possession despite the game being already won it would be ironic if we miss promotion on GD 🤷🏻♂️
I really don't blame Nathan for the subs but it did mess up our dominance of the ball as their heads were dropping.
