Isn’t he currently injured?BartramBlitz said:Has JRS gone anywhere yet? Impossible dream but what a great signing on loan he would be. I thought he was going to Rangers but that seems to have not happened.0 -
Still leaves us well stocked it would probably mean loaning out Campbell which I don’t see happening. JRS would be nice but don’t see it happening.CafcSCP said:

Fair shout, what do we then do with Campbell if JRS and Olaofe are the wide left options?Talal said:

As much as I’d like to see a JRS return who would he replace in the team?BartramBlitz said:Has JRS gone anywhere yet? Impossible dream but what a great sig.ning on lian he would be. I thought he was going to Rangers but that seems to have not happened.0 -
On a separate note, saw yesterday Charlie Kelman is now back on Instagram. Great news4

We need someone who can play middle of the back 3 against Cambridge next week. Burke will likely get a half but don't want to risk the main men.1

JRS on the bench for Palace tonight.0

Good player, but I don't think we're looking at centre mids.Callumcafc said:I wouldn’t hate someone like Freddie Potts on loan if we could swing it and West Ham aren’t going to use him. Get his older brother to put a word in.0 -
For what it’s worth (not much), I quite liked Mandela Egbo while he was with us.

We have Rob Apter to do that job. Neither are great at the defensive side of the WB job, but Apter is better at it.BartramBlitz said:Has JRS gone anywhere yet? Impossible dream but what a great signing on loan he would be.0 -

We’ve kept two clean sheets in a row with Rob Apter doing the defensive side of the WB job - so I wouldn’t sleep on him.wolfgang said:

He is of course no prime Maldini, but he is a little terrier and does not mind getting stuck in and doing the work.12 -
Would be impossible to get him on a permanent and doubt we would even consider getting him on loan now that we have Apter. Spending 2-2.5M on Apter to have him backup to a player that’s not ours would just be silly businessBartramBlitz said:Has JRS gone anywhere yet? Jake Cain is not a bad footballer, Surprised he has not found a L1 club, was he not at Liverpool until he was like 19/20 or am I thinking of someone else?1

We're definitely not going to sign him, but on a hypothetical basis, would he not be more likely to take Campbell's position and not Apter's?Crispywood said:

Agreed - it won’t happen . We’d have toCrispywood said:

find a way to accommodate both of them - I actually Apter could develop into a really good central midfielder eventually but at the moment he is doing very well on the right and I can’t see JRS as a wing back .

Yes and no. It’s still a new partnership between Jones and Bell and Bell and the others. We need that to gel sooner rather than later. Agree though we don’t want to risk Jones in particular. Gillesphey needs game time too. I’d start Burke and Gillesphey.Ferryman said:We need someone who can play middle of the back 3 against Cambridge next week. Just a reminder for anyone if they didn’t know, it closes at 7pm next Monday (1st September)1

Rak Sakyi is definitely still a consideration and one the club is working on/haven't given up hope
My opinion, would be an opportunistic last minute, probable last day thing if he was made available to us. Rangers move fell through, he has connections here and wants to come to the club if possible. 'If possible' essentially translates to finances and agreement that suits Palace which seems unlikely but as seen with someone like Galbraith, players do have a say in their transfers and its not always the highest bidder.
Now with Eze gone, if he isn't involved in the first team then he never will be. He is definitely in the premium loan bracket that Jones I don't think would turn down. You'd imagine would play instead of TC28 -

Even if Palace sign a direct replacement for Eze, it may take time for them to settle in. They'd be mad to let Rak-Sakyi go at the moment.2
-
Can't see JRS.. Apter started so well, and wouldn't put something in front of Campbell...
I would say wingback, and another big forward is what he is looking at.2 -
NJ: "At least one more player in"...now on the BBC website (so it must be true): https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ckgjwgm2ejro0

Sounds like it will be El Khanouss from Leicester which is a bonus for us tomorrow!!killerandflash said:Even if Palace sign a direct replacement for Eze, it may take time for them to settle in. They'd be mad to let Rak-Sakyi go at the moment.
If JRS goes anywhere it will be deadline day.2 -

To clarify, Rak Sakyi would be on top of the 'one more player' Jones spoke about.
The more pressing signing will be full back cover17 -
Wing back is obvious, on strikers NJ has said we have enough, so I could only see another one joining if we have a long term injury or someone leaves (excluding Kanu on loan).DubaiCAFC said:Can't see JRS.. Apter started so well, and wouldn't put something in front of Campbell...

I wonder if someone like JRS would be an exception though, being seen as too good to turn down. If he comes in on loan I could only se him playing TCs role.0
